We had 3 nights stay in Venice and Residenza la Loggia was fantastic! One-of-a-kind room was beautiful, decorated in a traditional Venetian style, very detailed (see photos). Tasty breakfast delivered to the room each morning with fresh coffee and croissants. Very helpful and professional service. Mini bar in the room and very good wifi. Coffee/tea facilities in a reception area available. Very good location. Before we arrived I have received an email with video of how to find them which was very helpful. If I ever return to Venice Residentza La Loggia would be my first choice.

This is the perfect place to stay away from the crowds yet ideally located within very easy reach of everything. The owner/host is welcoming and friendly. With timely responses to our comms ahead of arrival we were expecting good things before we arrived and were not disappointed. The room was extremely comfortable, clean and at a temperature we could decide upon. The decor is typically Venetian which we love and breakfast was outstanding.

Everything from the video provided by our host Matteo to help us find the property to the huge breakfast was perfect. I hoped from the previous reviews that we would not be disappointed when we arrived and this was certainly not the case. The room was very Venetian in decor and while not large was perfect for us. Located equal distance from Rialto and Piazza San Marco - perfect. We would definitely stay again next time we visit Venice.

Very nice off the beaten path bed and breakfast. Mateo went out of his way to make our stay excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and well appointed for a downtown location. A little tricky to find but (while I did not see it before I arrived) Mateoeven provided walking directions from the water taxi drop off.

Not sure where to start. We booked an apartment with description saying it had air conditioning, wifi etc. with only 20 steps to climb. However when we arrived, the accommodation was nothing like the pictures on the website. After carrying our suitcases up 72 steps we found there was no air conditioning, toilets didn't flush properly, not enough hot water for everyone to shower and the place looked as though it hadn't been dusted for a while. There was no wifi but when we asked about it we were told there was none. We were then told we could use the wifi in the other building or sit on the bottom step of the building we had been put in. Really?
When we spoke to the manager about the accommodation her said he had never had a complaint before and was unable to handle the situation. He offered a discount, but when we were due to pay the only discount was 50 euro (24 euro for city and not really sure what the balance was for).
Wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed there because the reviews were great. The location is extremely central and the room is nice. However we had a horrible experience. There were bed bugs in our room (yellow room). At first we did not know that it was bed bugs and mentioned there were black bugs to reception who said they would check. The night after, the reception said it should be ok but the bugs were still there (we took pictures and showed a video to the reception). After we left, we made a few phone calls and did web searches and understood that it was bed bugs (we have zero doubt). We emailed the hotel two days ago to inform them and suggest they take measures and have not heard back from the hotel. We stayed in the yellow room in the photos. I would recommend not to go there until there is confirmation that the bugs are out.
We have been spending a my of time since we left washing and drying all our stuff from Venice and so far so good. Had their not been bugs we would have given the hotel a 5 star review.

When we arrived, we had great difficulties finding the place. Upon checking in, we found the room very mall with an even smaller bathroom, all in dark red art deco style.
Breakfast was included but nothing could be had until 8:30am when we were brought some pastries and a very small amount of coffee.
This place is probably best suited for budget travelers or people who are willing to accept a B&B accommodation

Venice is a small city (for me anyway) but hard to navigate, so people will get lost (I got delightfully lost several times), but I thought Residenza La Loggia was super easy to find. With only the map provided from their website I went straight from the St. Mark's vaporetto stop (from the airport) to the B&B with no wrong turns. The location was excellent, kind of tucked away on a side street (which made it "quiet" and away from the hustle and bustle) but literally around the corner from the main activity. Super close to St Mark's Piazza and public water transport. Lots of restaurants and shops to choose from. Of course, being in the tourist area there are a lot of touristy restaurants, but if you take the time to look for something good you will find it easily. The staff was sooooooo sweet! It's family run, so they take a lot of pride and care. Super clean, beautiful decor (somebody complained about it being dark read...it's supposed to resemble old style Venetian Decor people!). I thought the breakfast was more than plentiful, it isn't "continental breakfast", but I think it was closer to the traditional breakfast, with mostly breads, a filled croissant (a bit like a danish), yogurt, jellies, butter, pates (I love pate!), cream cheese/soft cheese. Coffee (or tea or capuccino) and juice. We supplemented it with store bought fruits :)

We have returned to this hotel a year after our first visit because we felt so comfortable and well looked after the first time. It was good value for money and in a great location half way between San Marco and the Rialto. Would do it again!

Dear Vilamendo... sorry for the late reply. I'm sure you're already in Venice and having a great time, even if it's not easy getting around there if you have mobility problems: there are so many bridges and steps everywhere. My advice is, take it slow and have fun.

You can also walk from Piazzale Roma if you only have handbags. It takes about 30 minutes and takes you through lot of tourist attractions. Another route from the airport is to take a Barzi bus service which takes about 40 minutes and drops you at Tronchetto. From Tronchetto you can take a water taxi going clockwise to Rialto. It is just a 5 mins walk from Rialto Bridge.
