I wish I was aware of the bad reviews before booking this hotel. Take note of other travelers advice and stay clear of this establishment. Even after all the bad reviews no effort has gone into fixing any of the issues. There is not one good thing to write about this hotel and it is disappointing because we really wanted...

Not at all what we expected when looking at the descriptions of this hotel. A lot off stuff was either broken or stuck together with Duct Tape. The hotel was very noisy, especially the plumbing. On the third day of our stay, our water was not working. When we felt that our complaints about this werent handled well or at...

Note: I booked this hotel before reading the reviews and it was non-refundable. So decided to give it a go. If I had read the reviews first I would never have booked here. It was a cheap price though. Looked like a dive from the outside. Same on the inside.. Back in November we requested an early check in which...

My mom and I stayed here during our trip to Venice and got lost a few times trying to find the hotel. It's pretty well hidden though it is in a nice area where you can find a lot of cool shops. The hotel itself is very old, there is no elevator, and it's really tiny. It's basically a small...

We stayed only for a night at this nicely located hotel, which is clean and nice but with limited facilities. WiFi internet was great, receptionist was polite and helpful. Bathroom and toilets were clean with hot water, a bit small though. We did not use Air Conditioner or heaters, so can't comment on that. Breakfast coupon has to be encashed...

This was the most horrific and horrible hotel I have ever stay in ever. It is loud. Mosquitos everywhere. Dirty bathroom with mould and stains everywhere. Dirty bed with mould and blood stains in the bed head and pillows. Air vent was broken with no grill at the front of the vent. Shower had to be turned on for 20...

Got a lower standard room than I bought on net. They gave us access to another room to use the bathroom, but very inconvenient. Many small ants. Very good location though: near to good winebars and restaurants.

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
