Albergo Marin is your cozy hotel in Venice, close to the train station S.Lucia and a couple of steps far from the Grand Canal. We offer to our guest 19 nice rooms, all ensuite but one (cheaper), with air conditioning, safe, satellite tv, SKY tv with more than 600 free channels, and all kind of comfort you can get from upper level Venice hotels, but at a right price. We also have some superior double and triple rooms with turkish (Steam) bathroom, where you can enjoy a complete and charmant relax. In the morning we serve breakfast in our breakfast hall: we do supply salty and sweety flavours, hot and cold products (try our scrambled eggs with bacon i.e.), gluten free options on request. Free Wifi is anywhere, in your room, at the bar, in the lobby, even outside, where our external bar tables lie. All the guests can access our bar, where it is possible to enjoy a glass of wine, a good spritz, soft drinks and much more.

This was my second time staying here, so that should already be a solid testament that this is a great place to stay!

First, I LOVE the location. Water taxis in Venice can be very expensive, and trying take a vaporetto with luggage could be a challenge. This hotel is a 5-min walk from Piazzale Roma (this is where the bus drops you off from the airport) or a 2-min walk from the train station. No matter how you’re getting to Venice, you won’t have far to go once you arrive. The vaporetto stop is also very close by which makes getting around Venice very easy for sightseeing. The neighborhood around the hotel also seems very “local” and we would often see people walking to work during our morning strolls. Across the canal it is very touristy. So stay on the side of the canal where the hotel is!

Next, the breakfast is amazing. The lady who works in the breakfast room is so friendly and I even remember her from my last stay 2 years ago. I love the basket of pastry and the plate of meat and cheese waiting for you at the table each morning. I also love how they ask your preferred breakfast time when you check in, so when you come down you will find your name on the table without worrying about whether it will be busy. The other food served at breakfast like the cakes, juices, bacon and eggs were always a huge hit!

The rooms were also very comfortable and if I plan another trip to Venice, I don’t think I would even shop around. This is a great hotel!

Grazie Mille!

A beautiful hotel with such friendly and hospitable staff. Absolutely enjoyed every single moment of being in the hotel. The small bar had lots of choice and the staff were more than happy to provide drinks with complementary crisps and nuts. Breakfast was lovely in a morning with a small selection of cereals, different breads for toast, sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs (would recommend), and a selection of cold meats and cheese. In terms of the room, they were cleaned every day and bed linen changed every 2 days. The safe in the wardrobe left us with no worries about our precious belongings. The room also had fresh teabags every day along with a kettle, a hairdryer in the bathroom and a TV with sky. The only concern I would have is that when people are walking past your rooms, you can hear them talking but this would happen anywhere so I cannot blame the hotel specifically for this.
The hotel is a short walk away from the train station and Ferrovia water station if deciding to get the boat up and down the canal.
Overall, an amazing hotel with such friendly staff and really made our stay worth while as they were happy to answer any questions we had regarding Venice and getting around. Would definitely stay here again if I was to come back to Venice.

We stayed at Albergo Marin for three nights from 29.04.2022 to 02.05.2022 and I cannot speak more highly of the hotel and, especially, Giacomo, Michela and all the staff who just couldn't do enough for us (including helping us resolve our return watertaxi for the day of our departure)

We had been looking forward to coming to Venice for so long as we had delayed our booking due to Covid travel restrictions but it was absolutely everything we had hoped for and the Marin just made it extra special

This is the perfect destination hotel for a visit, just off the Grande Canal, behind the Carlton Hotel, and, as other reviewers have said it's about 20/30 minutes walking distance from The Rialto Bridge/Market and San Marco Square. The fact it is set back a little from The Grande Canal gives it a feel of a quite oasis in the midst of this busy, bustling, city which allows a little time to unwind and relax

The rooms are very clean, the bed (in room 204) so comfortable and the breakfast is abundant and really tasty with extra coffee/tea available. What makes the whole experience extra special though are the team running the hotel, they are just so lovely and provide such helpful advice - we are so glad we went to Burano on the day of our arrival rather than later in the weekend - thank you for that recommendation

Will we come back to Venice again ? Who knows. However, if we do, we will definately stay at Albergo Marin and would highly recommend others do so too.

Thank you for making our dream stay in Vemnice extra special

Dear Madame, I have no words to thank you for these glorious words :) It's been lovely meeting you, you are such a nice and polite couple able to make our work so light and easy, as it appeared to be with close friends once you were our guests! I'm also very happy that the suggestion not to visit Burano during the weekend went though, I bet there are people in queue still! Hope to meet you next time again Cheers Giacomo, Michela & Staff

This place is incredible.

Don’t let the price fool you, the rooms are nicer than the Hilton - and the cost is nearly half.

Staff is 11/10 - Service was over the top at every step. Recommendations on great places to eat and places to see across the city. I left my luggage and the staff made sure I was able to get everything, even when it meant going far out of their way late at night.

This is a place I would be thrilled to stay at again. The newly renovated modern style rooms make it a unique boutique hotel with everything you would expect from a high end classy establishment. Hope to visit again soon!

The location may feel a bit north and out of the busy areas but overall it's very centered and a nice quiet escape from the busy spots. Bridges to go north are ~5 minutes of walking, Rialto is ~5 minutes away, and San Marco is ~10-15 minutes depending.

Nice small and well managed hotel in a fantastic location a few minutes from the station and near to all main public transports
It has just one star but it deserves four and it is priced like a two stars : one of those places you cannot easily find
The family Staff is helpful and treats you so good: you feel like a super special guest
Rooms are super clean and everything works well.
You cannot choose a better place when visiting Venice. No noise. The area is safe.
No remarks at all. It is definitely a place to go.

This is the most hospitable hotel I have ever been. Just when you enter the hotel you are welcomed warmly by the host. He is so nice and helpful that you immediately feel like at home. He asks you if you are the first time in Venice, takes out a map and shows you some nice places to visit. He does it in such a friendly way that you immediately make friendship with the host. He is so easy to talk to (in English)
Breakfast are of the same high quality as if you went to a local restaurant in Venice but the service is much more enjoyable and you feel again, like being served by the close-ones rather than by a superior waiter.
Don’t get distracted – that it’s a one star hotel. When you enter the hotel it looks like not one but a three star hotel.
The owner told me, that he doesn’t bother to change the star because he prefers his guests to be positively shocked than to have too many stars and be negatively disappointed. So it is a one star hotel with a very big STAR!!
I hope this review will help you decide what hotel to choose because on searching websites you can find only: price, localisation and some ratings. But I decided to choose this hotel by reading the reviews of other guests and they really help make the decision.
Coming back to the localisation, it’s super close to the train station and the bus station but at the same time it’s far enough (100 meters from the main street) so that you don’t hear any noises during the day and at night.
What makes this hotel unique is not only the localisation (which is perfect) but the friendly atmosphere which is priceless. What would you choose… A hotel where you feel like a customer? Or a hotel where you feel like a friend or a family member?
I’m sure that I will come there another time in the future

Super close to the train station this Albergo is hidden away a little surrounded by neighbours which happily say good morning to each other in the street and you feel warm and welcomed. Great value for the price for sure. The staff is super helpful, friendly and also don’t hesitate to take their time to recommend lovely places around for food and good atmosphere. It was a pleasure and I happily would return to this place.

This hotel is located very close to the train station, has a laundromat next door, and is an easy walk to lots of shopping, attractions and restaurants. Our room was very quiet and clean; and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. The breakfasts were great with a wide variety of foods to choose from. Any time we are in Venice again, we will definitely stay at Albergó Marin. Highly recommend the newly remodelled rooms as they are very spacious!!

My wife and I checked in during a horrible rain storm with gale force winds on August 16, 2022. We were soaking wet. The man at the front desk was kind and helpful. Our room was 206 and we walked up 2 flights of stairs to a nicely appointed room. The following morning the owner Giacomo (Jack-a-mo) showed us how to use the very expensive shower. It didn't work. He set it and we didn't touch it after that. The morning breakfast was really good. Fresh eggs made to order with bacon or ham or some kind of meat. Fresh juices and breads. Nice location about a 7 minute walk from the bus area. Some very nice restaurants were close by that Giacomo referred. We would stay here again if we return to Venice.
