Miami Springs, Florida

Stayed at this hotel in Nov'2016. Highly recommended due to its proximity to all local attractions in Venice, restaurants and major sights. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and very good. Owner is very hospitable and friendly in assisting all her guests to her hotel.

I booked this hotel because of the review in the Rick Steve's Venice book and the location. We came in on the train and left very early in the morning on the bus to Marco Polo. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to both stations. We travel light, so it wasn't difficult to drag our luggage. We traveled with...

This hotel was close to the train station which made it easier for transporting our luggage. We crossed the Rialto Bridge and the hotel was less than five minutes away. The hotel does NOT have an elevator, and we were on the 2nd floor. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and bacon. The room itself was clean but small. With two people...

Dear Gloria, thanks for your feedback. I think a correct feedback should avoid to underline we don't have lift, since we never advertised any lift. Luckely, we only have two floors, therefore managing stairs is really simple, expecially if you consider that many Venice hotels don't have lift and own 4/5 floors. Wifi connection in this period works well, and...

Location is good, for anyone reaching to Venice by train or by bus.if by train, it's just a 10 min walk across the bridge . I had to carry 2 luggages , had no choice to climb the stairs at the bridge. There are porters around to help at the station, but don need to as the hotel is very...

I rarely remember to review anywhere I stay on holiday, but having returned to this site for a different reason I felt compelled to give my feedback on the Albergo Marin, and a short stay the missus and I had here back in August. The Albergo Marin was honestly faultless. For £100 in Venice, August bank holiday it was one...

The hotel was relatively easy to find and we only had to cross 1 bridge to get there. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. However, the room was very dirty. I killed an insect on my last night there, before heading to bed. This was a mistake, as I should have requested for a room change (although...

Dear Skd46, thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, what you say is true, you got our smallest room, which is actually very tiny, but it has therefore a cheaper rate. Next time you come visiting us remember to reserve directly through our official website to get a better rate and selecting a room ensuite (we have all ensuite rooms but this)....

On arriving by train we found the hotel within 5 minutes. It's about the same distance away from the bus station too. On arrival the hotel looks a little tired going up the stairs. Staying in Santa Croce

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
