Not clearly visible from Via Garibaldi, you may have to ask around a bit to find it. By the church, take a left, then another left, there is a sign at that corner. Clean, neat and quiet rooms, be sure to request a room on 2nd floor or above.

We were picked up early hours of the morning, water taxi dropped us off and just left us there. We thought one of the guys was going to take us to the hotel but NO, we asked them where is the hotel and he said a few minutes walk down there? The wasn't anyone in sight to even ask, so...

Booked two nights and were initially put in the room across the street from reception. This room was shocking and not in keeping with the hotel itself. We asked to move and the following night we spent in a much more comfortable room in the main hotel. Breakfast was basic and the area where it was served had a number...

Overall happy with service. Room was nice and in a nice quiet spot in Venice. Only had breakfasts in the morning which was average. Bathroom was not great but not too bad. Would recommend if you looking for affordable accommodation in Venice!!

The hotel is in a quiet location 10 minutes walk from St Mark's Sq. Room for 4 was large and comfortable and breakfast was more than adequate. Ideal location if you want to be away from all the chaos but ideal for eating out and great co-op next door

We stayed here for four nights, the hotel was really lovely and the staff were nice a helpful, they recommended some restaurants and they were all great. The hotel is tucked back off of a main street so it was nice and quite, we had a room right in the dining room but it wasn't too bad as we were...

This was a quiet good property in the centre of Venice. Easily commutable to all local attractions in Venice. The staff was kind and generous. Helped us with the local attractions, gondola, etc. The room was cosy and elegant. The only thing made me feel bad is the breakfast. Couldn't find bread and fruits in the breakfast.

Well, the location honestly isn't too great... slightly away from the key locations... still within about 20 mins of walking distance from the key sites like Doge's palace, etc. It is located on the by lane between two buildings and no real signs to the place.. Thankfully we didn't have a problem as we were dropped off right to the...

My wife and I arrived at this hotel rather late at night, 23:oo hrs as it is quite hard to find in the dark. When we eventually did arrive we were told that they had a problem and that for our first night we had been put into another Hotel as they did not have enough rooms. This being despite...

My friend and I were so excited to arrive here. When we first got here, we thought it was out of the way but the location needed up being perfect. You can walk everywhere and are so close to all other transportation options. Staff was wonderful and room was clean. Breakfast was delicious! Wifi only worked in lobby

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
