We were only in the hotel for a night prior to catching a cruise. We arrived late and the staff was very accommodating. We woke in the morning to a nice breakfast and they stored our bags for us so we could venture around the city before going to the cruise terminal. Overall quality experience.

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. Our greeting, room, breakfast, location were wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with three teenage children in our two room suite. Will be back with pleasure

It was our 7th stay in Venice, our 1st stay in Odoni, and it is clear: this was the best hotel we ever had in Venice! Beautiful, specious rooms, very rich breakfast, nice staff, quiet rooms and not far from the busstop. We are sure: we will come back here!

Initially I booked a room (rather blindly) when I thought it was just going to be me on this trip. I booked a single room for around 244 euro a night for three nights. My plans changed and I ended up recruiting 2 more friends to join me but we had to leave a night early. I emailed the Palazzo... More

Palazzo Odoni is conveniently located a five-minute walk from the Piazzale Roma. We loved our stay here and will stay here again. It's a lovely, restored building, and the staff is super helpful and warm. One of the best things about it's location is that it is not at the heart of the touristy areas. We enjoyed exploring the winding... More

We were pleased to spend our first visit to Venice at this very quiet hotel. It has a charming atmosphere with very helpful and polite staff. The room was adequate for a family of three with a good, clean bathroom. There is also a very good selection of food at the breakfast table too! We would definitely stay there again.

Palazzo Odoni is in a great location, not too far from the train station (roughly a 10-15 min walk, a couple of bridges to negotiate but relatively easy to find). We were welcomed warmly upon arrival, and helped up the stairs with our luggage. The Palazzo Odoni building is beautiful (and even more special at night, just at the photos... More

Venice is full of overpriced, shabby hotels but Odoni is a gem --- it's a very reasonably priced, beautiful hotel at a great location. Staff were kind, room had a nice view, breakfast was wonderful, and the map of Venice the manager made for the guests is really well put together; it was much better than a 3euro map we bought... Staying in Santa Croce

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Croce
Santa Croce gained importance as a sestiere (district) when Piazzale Roma was created in the 1930s to bring cars and buses close to the center of Venice. Constitution Bridge spans the Grand Canal linking Piazzale Roma to the train station. This area buzzes with energy from travelers and students. Historic palaces and former industrial buildings house some departments of Ca' Foscari and IUAV Architecture universities. On the Fondaco dei Turchi, Venice's Museum of Natural History offers Venetians prehistoric thrills, plus an overview of lagoon fish and wildlife. The Grand Canal, northern boundary of Santa Croce, is lined with palaces and decorated by the tall green dome of San Simeon Piccolo. Ca' Pesaro attracts Venetians to its contemporary art exhibitions. The Grand Canal exposes only one face of these buildings. On the opposite side, the palace often interacts with a square or a busy street to represent its neighbourhood identity.
