The location cannot be beat. 4 minute walk from the San Zaccaria boat stop and 4 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. You will have expect some noise from outside, but it’s not bad at all. The rooms are tiny, but immaculately clean and the bathrooms are the same.

Breakfast is more than adequate with eggs, bacon, sausage, juice, cheeses, yogurt, bread, etc - and friendly staff that you can order cafe, cappuccino, etc from.

The price is amazing for a comfortable stay in Venice, without bells and whistles.

Excellent location 5 minutes walk from the ACTV water taxis and 3 minutes walk to St Marks square. Restaurants and bars right outside the hotel so need to walk far for a really nice and reasonably priced meal. Small room but lovely and clean and nicely decorated. Our room was on the second floor and at the back of the hotel so lovely and quiet. Breakfast was very tasty and pastries, cereals as well as eggs, bacon and sausage was served.
I was unsure about booking this hotel as it was only 2 stars but I cannot find fault and would definitely return.

Hotel Rio is a small, modern, comfortable hotel in a really great location. Our room was a superior room with great decor, a fab shower room, all spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities are also in the room along with a huge tele! Very comfortable bed. From the window you have a view of a small square with some really good restaurants, bars and shops. There was no issue with noise from our room considering the location. Loved closing the shutters at the windows at night!
Hotel Rio is only approx 10 mins from The Rialto bridge and 5 mins from St Marks square. All the staff were really welcoming and helpful.

The hotel is divided in two different buildings. We stayed at the building without the reception. There are no lift in those buildings (not that we could spot) so you have to carry your luggage. No freespace/bar in the Hotel.

The roomservice was okey! Nice and clean rooms. Very small bathrooms. Modern design, and very nice pillows. Flat-screen TV and a good AC. 25C was the coolest we could get with the AC (it was very warm outside, about 40+). The windows had those «flops» or wings outside the glass, that you could close, so your room will be totaly dark at night! Like i preffered :)

The breakfast and the breakfast-room was very small, but good enough to get full for the day (some types of juice, many types of coffee, youghurt, some sort of bread, sausage, bacon and some scrambled egg). Very nice and welcoming waitress! :)

If you just need a modern and clean room, and dont care about big rooms with freespace/bars and reception at the Hotel, this could be it ;)

The pictures look lovely but bear no relation whatsoever to our room. We can touch the walls on both sides of the bed. The bathroom must have had a toilet from a primary school installed - it’s tiny and really low to the floor. Worst of all, the room constantly smells of highly unpleasant.

The location is fantastic, and some lovely restaurants outside, one of which did gluten free pizza 👏👏👏. The chap on reception was helpful and a nice guy. It was relatively cheap though, for the location.

This hotel is on the main Venice island, hardly a couple of minutes from the Doge's palace and from the closest boat station to access the rest of Venice. It is in a very happening place as the surrounding streets have a lot of restaurants, bars and shops which come lively in the evening and night. A special mention to the staff, who were really helpful and went out of their way in accommodating our requests during our stay.

There is no lift in the building and the breakfast has a limited menu but both were minor inconveniences considering our overall positive experience.
The rooms were comparatively small and functional but quite comfortable.

Our room was situated at the top floor in the building behind the hotel and it was a bit stressfull. as there was no lift and the stairs was a bit narrow, but we managed

The staff provided a warm and welcoming stay for a brief visit. The location is superb. Close, but not too close to San Marco. Comfortable bed. Great lighting. Modern, clean design and stylish decor. Definitely a great little establishment.

A fantastic hotel, 2 mins from the water. Receptionist incredibly friendly and chatty. Nice simple breakfast with real coffee. We booked a superior room and it was large with a good sized bathroom. Window looked over on to the alley. Great little bar across the way that we went to most days and recommend the aeperol cart on the front! Charging €5 for a large spritz!

Hi, You cannot park in this city at all!!! There is NO road for cars but for boats and if you have a licence you can rent one. Alternatively you can take the ‚Vaporetto‘ which is a public transportation. Please kindly read basics about Venice. Otherwise you will be disappointed. Best wishes Manuels
