Very well located, the hotel is at the end of a small alley just off the Guglie vaporetto stop. An old building (or set of buildings) that has been tastefully modernised. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I endorse all the positive reviews and have just three quibbles. First, I eat little breakfast but expect a good quality orange...

The room was spacious, the bed size pretty large. Also thankful to one of the receptionists who waited up for us past midnight because our flight was delayed, so that was great. All in all a great hotel that I'd recommend to anyone. No issues.

While down an obscure alley, it's close to the water taxi, and the property itself is entirely modern. Great art, high ceilings, big rooms for Venice, and a good location in a neighborhood that has some better 'locals' restaurants than usual.

Our second visit to this hotel (we were here last year too), albeit this time a brief one. The Ca Pozzo staff were very helpful in offering us accommodation at very short notice when we needed to find two rooms for the night after a cancelled flight (again!). Good rooms, nice breakfast, great location and excellent value. Thank you Ca...

We stayed here for 3 nights late October. Lovely little find! Very close to all main attractions of Venice within a 5/10 minute walk! Venice itself was so busy, but the street this place is situated on was slightly off track and quiet, which we appreciated. Very easy to get to following directions given on their website too - vaporetta...

The tiny street is a bit strange at first but it is a Great location, clean and net. I Felt comfortable in the room. A bit expensive but it is Venice. Their breakfast is great too. I Really recommend it.

We stayed at Ca' Pozzo for two days. It is a smaller quirky hotel in an excellent neighborhood in Venice, easy access to the water busses (vaperettos) and near many good restaurants. The rooms were either brand new or remodeled, and contained very modern amenities. It is located off the Main Street down a long alley, which at first appeared...

We have just completed a 4 week holiday in Europe travelling with another couple. Everywhere else we have stayed our rooms were next to each other, making it easy to converse and plan excursions. We found it very strange that our 2 rooms could not have been further apart here. We arrived from La Spezia on Friday and were due...

We can find this hotel easily from the station. When we lost at night, we could go back to the hotel. There is a shop near the hotel, so we got some snack and water at late night after a concert. The room was really artistic. We thought as if we stayed an art musium. Staffs are so kind to...

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
