Great location, close to Railway, Jewish Quarter and Grand Canal.
Hotel was clean yet very dated. Our was compact. Ensuite was tiny but versatile.
Although the staff were friendly and polite they seemed less than interested in us and more in their soap operas/TV. Nobody...More
We stay for 5 night here and it was ok! Rooms are not very big, but are clean and nice. You can have breakfast to, but we chose the many restaurants from the streets for this. Is very close to the Santa Lucia railway station...More
Horrible hotel- dirty and the room had a musty smell to it and it was cold
We had the pleasure a meet the "nicest" receptionist ever. She "greeted" us with a sour face and looked several minutes for our reservation. By her look we were...More
I will start on a positive note as I hate leaving bad reviews and normally I am not a fussy traveller and happy with basic accommodation, so on the plus side the location is perfect, a short walk from the station and into town and...More
The hotel is within a 5 minute walk from the train station, or 10 mins from the bus shuttle, which we caught from the airport. This is the opposite side of Venice to St Marks Square but we found we were able to walk everywhere...More

Italy > Veneto > Province of Venice > City of Venice > Venice > Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby
shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.

I have been there this April only. I suppose the shared bathroom rooms are all in the Annexe building. I also had a shared bathroom. They were clean. Nothing much to worry. The shared bathroom rooms are quite economical. The location Of Adua makes up for everything. very near to the station and the main bus stand pizzale roma.Just one advice as you go for check in don't drag in your luggage at first because the reception is in the main building whereas you might need to go to to the Annex building.
