I visited on a solo trip for both work and pleasure and was booked in at this hotel. We booked it on the basis of a good price and location since it's in Venice itself. I stayed here for 5 nights so Tuesday through to Sunday. The location was super great as it's only 10 minutes away from San Marco...

Close to Academia stop and generally centrally located. Complimentary breakfast is basic, but does what it says on the tin. Room was clean and warm. I would stay there again, but would recommend installing a map on your phone as it can be tricky to locate at night.

This property is located steps away from Accademia Bridge which makes it convenient for public transportation (waterbus) and specially for walking everywhere in Venice. In spite of its proximity, the hotel itself is in a very quiet and secluded alley that some people report as "hard to find" - it was not a problem for us. We got a room...

Wonderful place, very clean and modern but yet with a feeling of history. Excellent starting point for sightseeing, close to the Academy bridge and the St Marc Square. Very nice service. Breakfasts a bit monotonous but tasty :)

Hotel inserted in an old building, but in good condition, very well located and suitable for those who want to stay in a central point of Venice without spending a lot of money. Even on top of a canal, very close to the Accademia bridge, we arrived quickly to any point of the city. The reception staff are friendly and...

This is a sweet little bed and breakfast right next to the grand canal (as in, step out of the boat and you are at the door!) with clean, warm rooms and helpful staff. Very nice location for those who like a quieter location -- the hotel is just outside of the main tourist locations and less than a block...

Rooms have been renewed and bed is very confortable. Breakfast cannot be compared with a 4-5☆ hotel but is fair enough. Thought is in front of Academia, the hotel is no noisy and staff very helpful. I recommend this hotel.

Before our arriving, we were provided with a further clarification regarding the payment procedure and also an online map showing where the hotel is in Venice. I find it very thoughtful behaviour. Once we arrived the hotel, the receptionist met us in a welcoming way, clearly explaining everything we should know. When we saw the room, we were rather surprised...

Staying in San Marco

Neighbourhood Profile
San Marco
The most famous sestiere (district) in Venice has one of the world's most famous squares, St. Mark's (Piazza San Marco). Anchored on one end by the basilica, clustered around it are restaurants, museums, shops, orchestras playing in the square, pigeons, the grand pink Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale), the soaring campanile bell tower, an astrological clock tower, plus gorgeous cafes and restaurants like Florian and Quadri. Piazza San Marco is beloved by Venetians themselves. They book a table anytime, which offers a buffer from the fray. This grand outdoor drawing room attracts Venetians for a stroll too, especially late in the afternoon when the hoards of daytrippers thin out. It's simply a grand place to meet.
