San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.

Getting to the hotel was very simple - from the airport you can get the Alilaguna orange line to San Stae vaporetto stop, and from the jetty the hotel is literally 60 meters straight, flat walk. We had a first floor room with a terrace overlooking an internal courtyard. Large

We had a nice stay. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Convenient location. We walked everywhere we went. There is a water taxi close by in case you wanted to use that for transportation. Courteous, helpful service.

Stayed at this gem of a hotel from 8-11th March 2019. The hotel was situated just off the S.Stae vaperetto stop, Grand Canal. The receptionist was very welcoming and professional when we arrived at the hotel. Our rooms were spacious, very baroque in style and very clean.

Stayed on business last month for one night and could not recommend the staff friendliness and surgical level cleanliness more. Bedroom was the size of a suite, great bathroom with double shower and an abundance of hot water. Breakfast was the best I have had in an Italian

Alilaguna orange line from airport, follow the water taxi signs from arrival hall at airport, and get off at San Stae stop. It's only 50 meters to the front door of the hotel along a flat street. Can also take water taxi but they are expensive if you are not sharing. Look up Alilaguna web site for timetable. If you miss the ferry you will have to wait for the next one. We waited approximately 40 to 50 minutes as we just missed the ferry. Water taxi is quicker.

Are there coffee making facilities in the rooms please?
No, there aren't. It's fairly unusual to find coffee-making tools in hotel rooms in Italy.
