Great place to stay. Only down side is its right next to a church bell that goes off every hour, so bring earplugs. Other than that i loved it! Great location, wonderful staff. I would stay there again.

This hotel was one of our top two during our travels in Italy. The room was spacious (with a large couch), clean, had a view of the garden, and had a large bathroom. The breakfast was very basic but sufficient and outside seating in the garden made every morning a delight. The owners were courteous and very helpful, although their...

2 Block walk from the Ca' Rezzonico Vaparetto stop near the Accademia Bridge. Nice helpful staff. Clean , easy accommodations. Quiet and Charming. Wonderful Breakfast in the Garden. We fed a little box turtle grapes there. Nice plazas and places to eat nearby.

Casa Rezzonico is an amazing place in Venice. It is near all the major attractions yet an oasis from all of the crowds. The staff gave us excellent advice on where to eat and how to get around the city.

This hotel, on a quiet canal, was very enjoyable! The managers we met were most helpful in getting tickets for a concert, questions about the area and the hotel....great!

It was recommended to us by friends, and I can see why. It's right on a quiet picturesque canal that is the cover photo for the current Lonely Planet Guide to Italy. Fabulously located, close to two great piazzas with restaurants and shops and lots of energy. Short walk to the #1 vaporetto (the one that plies the Grand Canal),...

We loved loved LOVED our stay with the two brothers! What a lovely, welcoming place they have created. We will never stay anywhere else. Casa Rezzonico was everything we wanted for our Venice visit: * Large clean rooms and the biggest bathroom we had in Italy! * Friendly, welcoming staff * So conveniently close to everything (Rialto 15 min, San...

The garden was completely awesome. Breakfast in the garden was a great way to start the day. The location was in walking distance to all the sights and the vaparetto stop was close. The breakfast was good and the staff extremely helpful.

In expensive Venice, this is a fine value. Our wood-beamed room was charming, and the grassy courtyard is the perfect place for breakfast. The proprietors are very helpful, and the day-shift personnel speak excellent English. We gave the location four out of five, but that's sort of a compromise. If you like to be in the middle of the action,...

Staying in Dorsoduro / Accademia

Neighbourhood Profile
Dorsoduro / Accademia
Artsy is the defining mood of this neighbourhood with street artists, students, painters, sculptors, restorers, curators, historians, collectors, heirs and heiresses rubbing elbows. Peggy Guggenheim's collection, now a museum, lures chic locals for evening art aperitifs. Traditionalists and visionaries cocoon in bohemian luxury. La Salute basilica buttresses the neighbourhood to the east. Gondolas bob in the morning light. The Accademia Bridge crosses the Grand Canal. A back street doubles as basketball court. Palaces house residents, or like Ca' Foscari a university, or a museum like Ca’ Rezzonico that attracts Venetians for concerts. Dorsoduro reveals its industrial roots too, in buildings converted to house university departments or exhibitions. Campo Santa Margherita bursts with youthful energy from local students. Foot traffic bustles to and from Piazzale Roma and Santa Lucia train station. Evening commuters pause for an aperitivo. Neighbours exchange confidants in a campo (square) on their way to market.
