Nice staff, rich breakfast, good rooms for a reasonable price. The building is at a really good location, close to Rialto and Saint Mark's square. Everything went smooth with the booking and the staff was really helpful and kind.

The room was OK, great location. But the bathroom smelled way too musty, gross.it was helpful how we were able to leave our luggage after checkout for a few hours, that was very nice and greatly appreciated.

Sorry this place is a right hole. We booked it because it is a two minute walk from the Rialto Bridge. It's not easy to find this place even with the map and YouTube video they provide. It's a pain having to check into a different hotel and then going back to where you are staying too. For what you...

Fairly decent for quick travelers who are looking to spend only the nights at the room! Location is perfect - 4-5 mins walk to Canal Gande. You can find it hard to spot the hotel at first as there are no prominent sign boards.

I visited this property in September. I have stayed in Venice before and decided to stay right in the centre of town. My partner and I arrived around 1am as our flight was delayed to the address given on the booking...this was a separate place to the reception...Its not even next door it's a completely different building and very hard...

The San Lio guest house is placed conveniently close to the Rialto bridge and acts as a great hub for visiting Venice. The location is the guest house absolute best asset! Check-in was cumbersome and poorly explained, meaning that you have to carry your luggage from the guest house to another hotel where the check in takes place and then...

Stayed here for one night. Central Location, basic but neat and clean room with comfortable bed. Gianmarco deserves a high five and hugs for his amazing assistance. He provided us the map and a video link on how to reach the hotel and did a smooth check-in although we were very late. The only thing that give a negative picture...

We loved staying here. It was so convenient, very clean and a nice size hotel room. The staff in the main office was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would go back. It was located very nicely in the middle of everything which made it easy to explore then take quick break in our room before hitting...

This hotel is slap bang in the middle of Venice so is ideal for exploring every part of of the beautiful city. There is also a small supermarket at the end of the street as well as numerous restaurants and shops close by. It is a basic room with no view but it does have a mini bar which is...

Staying in Castello

Neighbourhood Profile
Castello
Castello is the largest of the six sestieri (districts), and the only one not facing onto the Grand Canal. More than half of Castello is situated within Arsenale, the naval base, which occupies over one-fifth the area of Venice. This gentrified maritime neighbourhood feels busy but casual. Castello’s side streets are laid back, with small boats lining canals criss-crossed by laundry. Semiannual exhibitions add a strong artsy current to the Arsenale area. Via Garibaldi in Castello, with its shops and bars, has one of Venice's rare straight and wide boulevards. When a large ship turns around the Lido to enter the Giudecca Canal, the startling sight creates an illusion that it will run aground right on Via Garibaldi! Families treasure Giardini near the island's tip, green with rare trees and grass, and Riva degli Schiavoni is a popular spot for Venetians to take a stroll to watch the sunset.
