This is a quaint hotel in the heart of the San Polo district. The couple that runs the hotel are very helpful with directions, sugestions on where to go and what to see. Their breakfast is not the best we had on our 29 day Italian Trek but it wasn't bad for the the limitations they had. Nice little court...

I would say that the room was fine, but service was poor, the hotel was kind of difficult to find, and the personnel leaves before 3pm. I know that hotels in europe have different (lower) standards, but for the price I paid, it really wasn't worth it.

The location is excelent: you are near everything. You have shoping, pharmacy and grossery store and the personnel are very nice!!! The price is good, comparing to others. The breakfast is good (I just didnt like the eggs because it was cold. Good coffe and the manager makes a very good capuccino.

Good location, kind personnel. We were in a four people room, big enough for all. The Wi-Fi only works in the entrance, not in the first floor. The breakfast is varied. To locate for the first time the hotel we needed the gps.

This hotel is a superb location as you are never too far from anything. It was easy to find from the bus station. Although the Reception is only available in the mornings, the attendants send an email with a pin to get your keys from the outside box so this is not an issue. Prior to our arrival we had...

How disappointed I was, the Location was perfect . The Owners of the Hotel need to take a look!!!. We booked a superior room, large lots of room, it was tired and not very clean, we were there for 5 nights, room and bathroom not cleaned, sheets not changed and had to ask for clean towels. The safe did not...

We had a good stay at Acca, albeit brief (one night). Great location, close to Piazza San Polo and conveniently located in relation to San Marco, which we were able to reach in only 20 minutes of walk. Staff was friendly and served good coffee and breakfast.

This was the worst accommodation I have ever stayed at!!!! Upon arrival there was a locked gate that had a sign saying that I was sent an email with a code to access this little box that apparently stored the keys to the gate and our room. I did not receive ANY correspondence from this hotel and was therefore definitely...

It is more of a house in residencial area. If you have luggage it is difficult to reach as you have to walk around a km from the bus or rail station passing through narrow lanes of Venice. without Google you can't reach there. But property is well maintained and hardly you will find any staff through out the day....

Staying in San Polo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Polo
The Rialto Bridge is the most famous sight along the Grand Canal in San Polo, smallest of Venice's six sestieri (districts) and by far the busiest neighbourhood. Morning Venetians arrive to peruse the markets for fish, fruit and vegetables, while shops display goods from cheese to wine to desserts. San Silvestro and Rialto Market vaporetto (water taxi) stops add to the steady stream of foot traffic. San Polo is defined by churches including Basilica dei Frari, one of the most important churches sought by art lovers.
