The villa on a hill isn't the most easy to find. BUT: Your compensated by a gorgeous setting and very tastful rooms on top of Verona. It's the ideal retreat to enjoy the city and the wine-region without stress and hords of tourists. Thanks to the great tipps from the hosts Maddalena and Marco our tripp - and the food!... More

Just upon the hill of Verona, it's a pleasant and convenient way to stay while visiting Verona. Peaceful, family owned and run, it's a piece of heart at a very competitive rate. The owner will make you breakfast and suite willing to guide to wherever you are going to visit. Very nice ! Bravi !

My boyfriend and I decided for our first holiday in Verona. I came across Agriturismo Sommavalle when looking for something a bit different. We arrived and although it was a little out of the way (you do need some sort of transport from the local airport) it was easy to find. It is set in the hills of Verona, the... More

It is rare you can combine the best of both city and country in one holiday destination... but that is exactly what Sommavalle allows you to do. A wonderful, calming retreat on the hill behind the city. Surrounded by olive groves, grape vines and fruit trees you are surrounded by the relaxation of rural Italy yet can reach the city... More

Sommavalle is such a great location! The historic center of Verona is quite close and easy to reach. The rooms are very clean and really nice - especially the bathroom. The host is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!

We were looking for somewhere to stay just outside of Verona and booked here for two nights on the strength of the tripadvisor reviews. Sommavalle is located in the hills to the north of Verona – only a 5 minute drive to Verona and relatively close to Lake Garda. The agriturismo has a gated entrance with large gardens leading to... We stayed here for 3 nights in September and it was a wonderful experience. The B&B while initially a bit difficult to find even with a GPS more than made up for that challenge with its spotless rooms, lovely country surroundings and good breakfasts. The bed was really comfortable and the ensuite large. Marco the owner could not have been... More

This was a wonderful find outside of the tourist bustle that is Verona. A bit tricky to find but lovely spot and the family that runs it is very nice. Marco really strives to make your stay as wonderful as possible. Spotlessly clean with lovely decor and good-size rooms. The common areas of the house are also quite relaxing. Our... More

We spent 4 nights in this wonderful place. We liked everything - house, room, surroundings and especially our morning conversations with Marco. Marco gave us a lot of tips about best routes, nice places to visit and even about weather. We could reach the center of Verona in 5 min by car. It was very convenient for us because we... More

This place is absolutely lovely. It is located in a peaceful environment, surrounded by nature, in the hills overlooking the city of Verona. The house garden is a pleasure to walk around (although some lighting at night wouldn't hurt) and the air is just fresh and clean. Our room was large and had a huge ensuite bathroom with a great...
