Gabriella is attentive to every detail of your visit. Her BnB is perfectly located within a few minutes walk to the old part of town. I had a spacious, spotless room. She made sure I had vegan options for breakfast. I loved to linger over breakfast in her garden.

We had a lovely stay in La Mia Isola. Gabriella is the best hosted you can wish. She gave us a lot of good tips in and around Alghero. The location of the B&B is on walking distance from the historic centre. We enjoyed all and we will be back and stay with Gabriella.

Gabriella is the star of this structure. Her dedication and kindness showed from the very 1st phone call I made to book a room. 1 minute later I already had a list of useful tips and beautiful photos in my whatsapp. Upon arrival she gave us some more suggestions about places to see, beaches, restaurants. We very lucky, the 2 of us got a 4-people room, so plenty of space. I particularly liked the bathroom, with a lot of shelves and hooks. Breakfast is DIY and you can eat in the garden. The B&B is located only a 5 minute walk from the center, in a quiet residential street.

I had a very lovely stay at the B&B La Mia Isola. The B&B is very close to the old center of Alghero and conveniently located nearby the bus stop to/from the airport and the beaches. The location is quiet which is great for a good night sleep. The room was very comfortable and spacious and also very clean, equipped with all I needed to have a pleasant stay. As well as the room, also the rest of the B&B is very nicely decorated and clean, there is an internal garden where you can have breakfast every morning or just sit and relax. Gabriella, the host is very helpful, easy going and kind. She gave me very good tips on Alghero (local restaurants, beaches etc... .) and made me feel like home, so I would highly recommend it!

Again we had a fabulous stay at B&B la mia isola! Second time around with my family ( 2 adults 2 young kids) in the B&B's appartment. The B&B has a perfect location near the historical city center, but still in a quiet area. The appartement , which is separated from the B&B through a garden, is very nice; it has a big bedroom, a livingroom and kitchen and a private bathroom. The B&B is very clean and beautifully decorated. The garden is really cute, here you can have breakfast or late evening drink/talk. Gabriella, owner of the B&B, is really lovely, always accessible and gives lots of great recommendations about the beaches, the city of alghero and ofcourse the best restaurants. She will try to help you with everything you ask or need. One day we met Gabriella at the sea and we could immediately borrow an extra umbrella for the sun ( the other one we took from the B&B, where guests can borrow the umbrella). Gabriella is so thoughtfull, she brought beach toys for my eldest son, he really appreciated this. We felt really at home again and would definitely recommend staying here. We'll surely be back here next year!

My girlfriend and I stayed at this lovely B&B for 4 nights during the month of August. It has been a great choice which I can strongly recommend to everyone. The owner, Gabriella, has been super kind, she gave us a lot of insiders tips about Alghero (for restaurants, beaches, things to do, etc.) and made us feel at home during our stay. She even offered to buy for us sone typical Sardinian cheeses (which we loved) and gave us a bottle of amazing olive oil produced by her family! The B&B is just 5mins walking from the old center of Alghero (the area is calm and safe, ideal to rest rather than the more chaotic center) and next to the bus stop to/from the airport and the beaches (we took this bus every morning to visit the best beaches in Alghero). The room was very comfortable and super clean (the manager of the B&B came to tidy/clean it 3 times during our 4 days stay) and we found in it all we needed to have a pleasant stay, including ac, television, towels, shampoo and a beach umbrella (this saved us under the hot sun of Sardinia)! The rest of the B&B was also very nicely decorated and clean, especially the internal garden where we had breakfast every morning (italian style: coffee, juices, yogurts, croissants and freshly baked cakes). It has been a very good experience and we will definitely return to La mia Isola next time we will go to Alghero.

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights in July this year at the beginning of our trip in Sardinia. It was not a good introduction to Sardinia. Okay, on the positive side. The room was nicely decorated and the B&B itself was clean and functional. It was in a residential area but only 5 minutes walk from the old town. We were the only people there for the 2 nights and this can be seen as a positive or a negative, take your pick. We arrived on a early evening flight from Paris which we had informed the owner about and she was 'keen to meet us'. When we got to the B&B, there was no one to meet us. I then had to call on my mobile phone (international call charges) and a nice lady turned up saying that she was a friend of the owner etc and she was to let us in. A very brief explanation of the 'do's and don'ts' was recited as her English was not good. She did recommend a restaurant close by which was nice and reasonably priced. It also had wifi which was good. The B&B is actually a 4 bedroom apartment in a residential apartment building and it is dark everywhere else except in the back courtyard which has astro turf and building going on. That was the last contact we had with a human being in relation to this stay. The owner Gabriella was no where to be found, there was no information provided about the town or Sardinia (by her friend) except for a basic map and there were no arrangements made with us regarding our checkout. The breakfasts were the most basic I had seen in the whole of my 2 and half month trip to Spain, France and Sardinia. Supermarket packaged pastries and some cereal. Oh yes, there was a coffee machine for which there were no instructions re refilling etc. Throughout all of this, the owner kept texting me in Italian and calling me. Now, if you ARE Italian this is okay as you can understand. Because of steep international call charges, I do not generally take calls on my mobile phone except in the case of emergencies. This is when we started realising just how poorly Sardinia is set up for international travellers, except Italian travellers and if you holiday in the Costa Smerelda... The real problem with all of this was that there was no one to pay upon check out which was around 9 am on our morning of departure. This set in motion a whole train of further annoyances. The owner kept calling me on my phone and texting me. I responded that I do not understand Italian (she knew that we were travelling from an English speaking country). Note, she does not accept credit cards or Paypal, so I could not pay this way on the phone or internet or whatever. Sending money through the Italian post office proved tricky as we were travelling and no one could really help us navigate this process. Booking.com was not really helpful in this respect either. In the end, an international bank transfer was needed which I did as soon as I got to a decent wifi hot spot. The cost of this B&B was 100 euro per night. Easy money if you can get it but most of us have to make a little more effort with our clients to earn a living!

I selected La Mia Isola after a careful trawl on Tripadvisor and wasn't disappointed. This was a fabulous stay from first to last. Our hosts were on hand to welcome us and gave us brilliant information on restaurants and beaches. The rooms were spotless and beautifully decorated and appointed as was the common longe. We loved the self service continental breakfasts which we ate outside. The free bikes were an added bonus. We were privileged to be staying here when Gabriella gave birth to Giovanni and I loved " wetting the baby's head". We can't wait to return which we rarely say about anywhere no matter how much we enjoyed it.I can't recommend this gem highly enough.
