The villa is situated in one of the city's most interesting archaeological areas, a stone's throw from the Roman Amphitheatre, the Villa of Tigellius, the Botanical Gardens, the Garden of the Capuchins, and the Punic Necropolis of Tuvixeddu. Elegant indoor spaces, welcoming relaxation areas and impeccable service, Hotel Villa Fanny embodies the passion that has been the guiding light of the owners of the residence for generations. My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights at this lovely hotel. On arrival the team were very friendly, the check in process is as quick and efficient as I have seen. Then we come to the highlight the rooms, we stayed in the Fanny Suite and it is out of this world. Two floors spacious, artistic with a back drop of authentic old style bricks a lovely shaped staircase up to a superb bed. We have never stayed in a room with it’s own Sauna but what a treat. This is the place for you if you just want to relax for a couple of days with your own thoughts. The decor through the hotel is beautiful with the bar having some black and white photos of film stars and the garden beautifully lit up by the trees at night. I highly recommend a cocktail in the evening at 10 euros a drink they are not cheap but not as expensive as most 4 or 5 star hotels and you get some lovely nibbles to accompany them. I can certainly vouch for the sidecar being well made and enjoyable to drink. The breakfast is also amazing cooked well, generous portions with high quality ingredients (both the fruit plate and the cheese and cold meat selections are musts).

There are some downsides to this hotel that will put people off, there is no lunch or dinner restaurant service and no room service so you have to go out to eat properly, there is no swimming pool and whilst the gardens are lovely there is only 2 sun beds. The location is 10 to 15 minutes walk from the port and all the bar/restaurant scene and the walk to them is downhill meaning you are walking uphill to get home. All that said the peace, tranquility, cleanliness and comfort you have when you walk through the doors means this hotel can get nothing but 5 stars from me and if you can afford to stay at the fanny suite, please do you will be wow’ed!

I had an exceptional stay at Villa Fanny, it's a hotel I'd hurriedly go back to. The hotel is beautiful, with thought-out decor gracing every sqm.

ALL the staff were friendly, accommodating and professional at all times. The reception and waiting staff spoke good English and were always helpful.

The cleaners did an excellent job in our room & all public areas. The cleaners I encountered only spoke Italian, but we were able to communicate with one another.

I loved our bedroom! It was huge with lots of storage, quiet and had a really comfortable bed. The shower room was stunning with a good range of toiletries. The only thing I'd change is the strength of the wifi.

There was an array of options for the breakfast buffet, which was served with hot drinks of your choice and a variety of juices and water.

The bar and garden are pleasant additions to an already beautiful hotel.

An ideal location for exploring and eating in Cagliari, this hotel was worth every pound.

We stayed for three nights - breakfast was very generous and the staff were great. Simone at reception went above and beyond to help us book restaurants and recommend day trips. We did the boat tour he suggested and it was fabulous. Recommend having a drink on the terrace in the evening. Hotel is about 15 minute walk from the centre, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Bus to the Poetto beach stops 20 meters away - it’s about 30 minute journey.

We spend our New Year holidays in Villa Fanny. We had a large room under the roof of the main house that was comfortable and very clean - but had only one small window and thus not a lot of daylight. The bed was excellent, and the quiet location of the Villa made us sleep well. A highlight is the very good service, in the restaurant as well as at front desk, i.e., the latter organised us a last minute covid test at a time where most test centres were fully booked. We also enjoyed their breakfast, especially the daily selection of several home made cakes, and drinking the last capuccino afterwards outside in their nice gardens.

For New Year, they also severed an excellent 7-course meal with good wine, the only negative being that it was too much of this good food, as the portions were generous.

The town is about a 10 minute walk away, and with a car, you get quickly out of Cagliari. However, as noted by many others, you need to find a parking spot as the hotel doesn't have any of its own. This wasn't really a problem for us during our four days.

Arriving with a very tired toddler, the staff were extremely helpful, patient and extremely nice.
The hotel is just as beautiful on the inside as it is outside - the grounds are large and impeccably groomed with beautiful garden seating both in the sun and shade which made for an easy apero hour with our energetic toddler!
Rooms are large, beautifully decorated with some great small touches.
Breakfast is served with class. Offering several options by a la carte only - a nice change to the normal buffet style.
I especially want to credit the reception for their extreme help in helping us book tables for dining out and other questions we needed answering - no question was too much.
Thank you so much for ending our stay in Beautiful Sardinia with so much grace and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!!

The staff are very attentive and try their best to solve any issues that you bring to their attention right away. They were very accommodating of my family’s needs. The AC in our room was not working on the first day- I called to inform reception of this issue. The person at reception said they would reset it and that it should start working shortly. Unfortunately, that did not fix the problem - so I informed reception again and a maintenance person was sent to address the issue at that very moment. This fixed the issue and we had a very pleasant room when it was 38 degrees heat outside. The gardens were beautiful- the only downsides were the traffic noise while enjoying breakfast near the gardens. If they had a pool, I would have spent my entire trip at this hotel! I want to specially mention the staff (Fabio, the lady at reception, the servers at breakfast) and how good they were! Our stay at Villa Fanny has set very high expectations for our holiday in Sardinia.

We had a wonderful two day stay at Hotel Fanny with our family. It is an easy 20 minute drive from the airport and in an excellent location to walk to the historical sites and to many excellent restaurants. Street parking was available. The hotel has a lovely garden and very nice rooms, but the best part about the hotel is the wonderful and very helpful staff. Claudia was one of the excellent receptionists who gave us information about what to visit and directed us to some very good restaurants plus made reservations for us. I highly recommend Hotel Fanny when planning a visit to Cagliari.

We stayed at Villa Fanny for a 5 night city break before driving to a villa along the coast. It was a superb start to our holiday. We stayed in the Luxury Garden Room, very comfortable, complete with jacuzzi. The hotel building and gardens are beautiful; staff very friendly, helpful and attentive - particular shout-out to Allesandro the lovely barman who put up very well with my Italian! Breakfast plentiful and varied. We did not eat any other meals at the hotel as so many great restaurants in Cagliari, but bar snacks are available. This is a fantastic base from which to explore Cagliari. No car park but most places are within easy walking, cab or bus journeys so we just picked up our car at the airport at the end of our hotel stay.

Wow!
Villa hotel fanny must be one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed in and we have stayed in lots over the years including many 5 stars. On arrival our room was not ready but the staff did all they could to accommodate us, our room exceeded expectations and the breakfast were superb - such a relaxing setting to sit and enjoy before heading out for the day.
The Staff really make this place, they go the extra mile to ensure your stay is up there amongst the best. They made several recommendations for dinner, all of which were within a 5 minute walk - you always know its a good one when it is frequented by the locals.
The location, the venue, the Staff, Cagliari itself you were superb and we have already booked our return stay!

This hotel is absolutely wonderful in every way. The staff is welcoming from the time you walk in the door. Rooms are stylish and comfortable, very clean. Breakfast is served in the beautiful, peaceful garden and you can have aperitivo there as well in the evening. Easy to walk to the city center, while being in a quiet area. Love it!

Hi. They don't all have a terrace or balcony. There is a beach called Poetto but not within walking distance to the best of my knowledge. Contact the hotel directly. They are extremely professional.
