What stood out for my husband and me about Il Cagliarese was how thorough Lorenzo initially was in giving us a tour of the B and B and sharing tips about Cagliari. Because we only spent two nights there, every minute was precious to explore Cagliari. Lorenzo recommended the most picturesque streets to walk through on our way to the... More

Mauro and Lorenzo are amazing hosts , nothing is to much trouble , Breakfast each morning were fab and my husband enjoyed his football chats and 3 cups of coffee with Mauro each day . We stayed 3 nights then traveled to Oristani before coming back for our final night , Mauro gave us a key for our return which... More

We had a wonderful stay here - the staff are extremely helpful, the breakfast truly sumptuous, and the location excellent. The place had some wonderful recommendations for things to do and nearby restaurants, and they didn't disappoint. xx

Mauro and Lorenzo were extremely helpful and were able to speak good English which was necessary as our Italian was virtually nil. The breakfasts were as described by other reviews - banquets to sustain us for the day. Our room was overlooking the street and was impeccably clean, comfortable and well maintained for the duration of our stay. Il Cagliarisi... More

Right from our arrival Mauro & Lorenzo could not have been more friendly or more extraordinarily helpful. Il Cagliarese is run so professionally & yet so personally. The breakfasts are a triumph starting with delicious varied cut fruits of exceptional quality and really special local cheeses & meats & jams and of course the superb pastries made by Mauro's sister.... We stayed for four nights in this family run B&B in the marina district. The owner Mauro, ably assisted by Caterina and Lorenzo, was very helpful and friendly. Our room, facing the street and on the same floor as the reception area, was bright with a comfortable bed, good shower and reasonably spacious. Breakfast is plentiful and includes fresh fruit... Excellent location close to the port, with free parking not far, so that all the city center can be explored on foot. Very comfortable room (good bed, AC, decoration) and bathroom (powerful and large shower), and perfect cleanliness. All this with the friendly welcome and kindness of the two hosts, Mauro and his nephew Laurenzo, who prepare wonderful and very... More

I really don't understand why some people spend their vacation at the same place for years. The world is so big and beautiful. I prefer every year discover a new place. But there is one exception... "Il Cagliarese". This place is absolutely unique and special. This summer I was here for the third time. And it becomes better and better... More

Great place! Central location but still isolated enough not to have any disturb for sleeping! Well furnished with taste. Bedrooms are spacious and clean. Variety of choice for breakfast, and of good quality. Stuff professional and friendly! Have stayed here in 2014 and now again! Always a first choice for us when we go to Cagliari!

You couldn't get a more lovely, helpful or charming B&B owner such as Mauro! I loved every minute of my stay and this is the best B&B I've ever stayed in by far. Perfect location, perfect room, perfect breakfast all for the perfect price!

“Rooms at front can be noisy but we enjoyed the Cuban music and dancing in the square from the bar next door so wasn't a problem . The B & B is on the second floor , with no lifts which could be a problem with anyone who has mobility issues. But Mauro and Lorenzo carried our cases up and down the stairs so we managed fine . ”
