Really enjoyed 3 nights in this hotel - the staff are very sweet and helpful, breakfast vast and delicious - we were lucky and had sunny weather so we enjoyed our breakfast on a sunny table outside in the lovely terrace. Location is very good - 1 minute away from the main road Via Etnea and a couple of minutes...

Very close To Via Etnea and the Duomo and other attractions. The hotel is in an old palazzo just off of Piazza Manganelli. Access is by a very quaint lift up to the fourth floor. The reception staff very friendly and helpful. Our room, accessed by an internal lift, was on the third floor.and was large, not ornate as in...

My wife and I stayed in the Manganelli Palace Hotel during our first night in Sicily. It was a very nice hotel with very spacious rooms, that have nice vaulted ceilings, and the bathroom was outfitted with a nice shower and all creature comforts. The staff was very accommodating as well, as they offered great suggestions for lunch and dinner...

The location is great if you are going to stay in Catania for the duration of your vacation because it is very central. It is not very near the trains and buses however, a bit of a drag if you are planning to visit the nearby cities/beaches/sights. Staff behavior varied from extremely unfriendly to very polite and helpful. I don't...

The hotel was ideal for us as we were in Catania for shopping. It is just a side street away from Via Etnea and therefore could empty our hands from the shopping bags and leave us free to enjoy the various tourists attractions in the center of Catania. The breakfast had a good selection of food and the receptionists were...

We weren't quite sure what we would find when we approached the main hotel entrance which is a rather shabby side door into the 18th century Manganelli Palace. But once we were inside and had reached the 4th floor reception via the antiquated lift (which wouldn't be out of place in an Hercule Poirot film) we discovered how good our...

I booked this hotel for a 1 night stay in Catania before flying home. It exceeded my expectations in every way, having booked it simply because it was cheap. Our room was large and light, with a huge bed, well decorated and immaculately clean. The bathroom was also large and well appointed with plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast...

We loved this hotel.. It is a four star disguised as a three star hotel. It had everything we wanted..fridge, safe, free breakfast and close to the duomo and many fine restaurants nearby. It is hard to find and we decided on getting a cab from the airport, since the bus does not run regularly. It is very clean and...

We had some difficulty finding this hotel. Aim for Piazza Manganelli, not the postal address. The hotel is in a building on one side of the Piazza, though the entrance is on a dingy side street and not very inviting. After getting the lift (ancient but more efficient than other more modern lifts we experienced in Sicily) to the 4th...
