Just returned from a week in Palermo and staying at the Palazzo del Poeta was such a great choice! A beautifully restored boutique property with all the modern amenities, Rosa the proprietor / hostess ensured that every part of our stay exceeded expectations...and it did!

The property itself right off of Via Roma, is beautifully appointed and in an ideal location for all historical and cultural sights. Many neighborhoods, markets and restaurants are within easy walking distance, as well as a pharmacy and multiple convenient stores located right around the corner. The quality of the rooms, finishes, beds, and linens were 5 star and the breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious…how we miss our freshly made daily cannoli. Rosa’s recommendations provided were also right on point, whether for Dining, Shopping or Culture. Her team of Giorgia, Petra and Marike were all wonderful and the cleanliness standards also exceeded our expectations, the common areas and our room were impeccably cleaned and refreshed each day.

Thank You again Rosa & Team, see you next time we visit the beautiful city of Palermo.

Very well hidden in the historic centre of Palermo lies this beautifully restored Palazzo that offers privacy, peacefulness and a very welcoming environment. Spacious rooms with all necessary amenities, excellent breakfast with all sorts of pastries, complimentary drinks all day long. Some small issues with the cleaning service were efficiently dealt by Giorgia, who was there to help us on all occasions and nothing was too much trouble for her, she trully made our stay memorable. Do not be intimidated by the scaffolding outside, it is only temporary and I imagine that once finished will add value to this remarkable building. I should not forget to mention the excellent list of nearby restaurants that the proprietor provided us with, the ones we tried exceeded our expectations. In short, an excellent stay in Palermo, I would gladly recommend the place.

Forget the usual cold and impersonal city hotel and replace it with the feeling that you are visiting the luxury apartment of an old friend. This is what it is like when you stay at Palazzo di Poeta. Located right in the heart of the city, within easy walking distance of all of the attractions. Look for the sign for hotel Posta on the main road when arriving and you will find it directly behind it. Opposite is Piazza Brancicorta where classical music floats out of it’s open windows as musicians practice for that evenings performance. Hidden behind a traditional facade you will find a stunning marble staircase leading you up to a bright stylish communal dining room, adorned with fresh flowers every day. Off this leads just three rooms which are beautifully decorated to the height of luxury.

Rosa the owner is an absolute star who cannot do enough for you. Whether it is booking the best restaurants in town, or finding you an iron and ironing board within a moment’s notice. Georgia is the perfect assistant, who speaks fluent English, and like Rosa will bend over backwards to help you. She prepares amazing breakfasts that also include some authentic Sicilian pastries. I can’t enthuse enough on how highly we rated Palazza di Poeta as the perfect location to stay in Palermo, but the icing on the cake for us was the secure indoor parking. This took all of the stress of leaving our car in a city that has little available parking, and what there is has millimetres between the next battered car that is squeezed in at the bizarrest of angles!

In other words... Palazzo del poeta is great!

Response from Rosa di stefano, Proprietario at Palazzo Del Poeta

Dear guests, your words excite and move us. Read the emotions that we were able to leave you, there is no time or space that can erase them ... I also remember well when he asked me for an iron ... and I am really happy that even these small gestures we do are been appreciated ... again a big thank you and I really hope to see you soon.

This was by far our favorite and most elegant and comfortable accommodations on our tour through southern Italy. This home has been elegantly remodeled and is stunningly beautiful and simultaneously comfortable and relaxing. Rosa, the host, is responsible for the entire remodel and every detail is absolutely perfect. This was the last stop on our tour of southern Italy and this location, and especially Rosa, made it all the more special. In addition, Rosa was incredibly helpful when we arrived as all six of us arrived without luggage due to a baggage handler strike. Rosa went above and beyond to liaison with the airline and get our luggage delivered to us as soon as it arrived in Sicily. We had six people in our party and we stayed in a 3 bedroom suite. Every morning a generous and mouthwatering breakfast was waiting for us when we awoke. The Palazoo Del Poeta is located in the heart of Palermo and is easy walking distance to everything you can imagine from sightseeing, dining and shopping. Even without our luggage this beautiful hotel and host made this stop on our itinerary our favorite. I am already looking forward to a return visit to Sicily just so I can stay at the Palazzo Del Poeta again. It is truly a destination by itself. Thank you to Rosa for helping us with everything and for the perfect stay.

What a wonderful place to call home for a few days! Rosa and her staff go out of their way to be helpful and make you feel welcome and perfectly at home. The common areas are spotless and inviting. The rooms are luxurious and quiet. Every detail of the renovation that Rosa oversaw has her heart and soul in it and she is very proud of this great guest home.
The daily breakfast was always too much! Just looking at the delicious pastries can make you gain weight :). Whatever you wanted was available in abundance.
The hotel is central so you can walk most places easily yet it is located on a nice quiet street so you can avoid all the crowds and noise of Palermo.
Do not hesitate to book with Rosa - she is charming and helpful and truly cares for her guests. The rooms are wonderful and you are assured of a good night sleep in a very comfortable bed in a quiet location.

This small boutique hotel is so beautiful. There is a small art gallery and with your room you have a private dining area, with a library and selection of drinks to have as part of your stay. Fresh coffee and cakes available all day. Our host Rosa was so helpful and with the current Covid situation we felt safe and secure, with sensible precautions taken. The breakfast was fantastic, a selection of pastries, eggs, salamis, cheese, fruit etc to cater for all needs. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Palermo. Great central location for exploring the City. Thanks Rosa!

A friend and I stayed two nights in this beautifully appointed, elegantly designed space. The hostess is incredibly genial and helpful; her restaurant suggestions were flawless. The breakfast spread is superb, with delicious savory and sweet pastries, fresh juices, coffee and teas, and eggs to order. Each room features wallpaper created from antique prints of Palermo during earlier centuries, and public spaces are suffused with light and calm. It is an easy walk to the harbor, the market La Vucciria, the shops on the pedestiran stretch of Via Emanuele, and the Central Train Station.

The hotel is hidden on a small side street. Google maps sends you to the wrong place and there's no signs outside due to construction on the street. As a result we took a while to find it. But as soon as the unmarked external brown door opens up, you transfer from the small alley into a beautiful, modern gem of a hotel. Only 3 guest rooms with an intimate dining area filled all day with pastries and coffee, as well as a nice supply of complementary alcohol, are alone a good selling point. But on top of that, the rooms are spacious and lovely and the breakfast was delicious. And Rosa the owner is such a lovely person and her staff are so friendly and helpful that they all round it out to an amazing stay, They really know how to take care of you and make you feel at home to the point you don't want to leave. So there's really nothing negative to say. Just be aware that this is not a traditional hotel - there's no concierge or front desk - all the staff are at the sister property around the corner (which is inter-connected). But when you need someone or something you contact them and they immediately appear so this was never an issue and we even grew to like the privacy, feeling like it was our own private little place. We can't wait to come back here, one day...

Perfect location in the old city center. Charming, peaceful small renovated hotel in a 17th century palace with warm, knowledgeable, and friendly staff (thank you, Georgia!) perfect Sicilian breakfasts (think the best pastries ever) as well as savory treats and fruit. Our suite was well designed, with thoughtful features including a kitchenette, small table for eating, and great lighting throughout — and a very comfortable bed. They helped arrange taxi pick up from the airport for us which I would recommend at no charge and at the regular fixed airport price. This is an extremely well run, unique place to stay. We loved it!

I cannot say enough good things about Palazzo del Poeta in Palermo. The building itself has a very interesting history and Rosa will tell you how she restored it. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. There are common open spaces to just sit and talk. The beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. Breakfast is included and is unbelievable. Multple kinds of pastries, cakes, rolls, fruits, juices, meats and cheeses. And if you want some eggs cooked for you, no problem. Everyone was very attentive. We were really concerned about parking, but Rosa arranged for our car to be parked in a locked garage on the same street. After a long day of traveling and sightseeing, we just pulled up to the hotel, got out, and our car was taken care of. No driving around for 20 minutes looking for a place to park! Rosa is a superstar and will do everything she can to take care of you. We flew into Palermo via Rome, and our luggage was left in Rome due to a baggage handlers strike. I was sure we would never see it again! Rosa took this on as her personal project to try to get our luggage back and she was relentless in repeatedly calling the airport, airline and delivery service and I consider it nothing less than a miracle that it took less than two days to get our luggage back, delivered to our room. Rosa is amazing. Don’t even consider staying anywhere else in Palermo.
