This elegant, family-run hotel is steeped in history and character and boasts a fortunate position in the historic centre of Palermo, just 300 metres from Teatro Massimo. Hotel Posta was once a noble residence and is definitely one of the most historic hotels in Palermo. It has been run with love and care by the same family since 1921. They are always on hand to assist in any way they can and can book excursions, tours, and theatre tickets. You can relax in the lounge with its well-stocked library and enjoy a cocktail in the cosy bar, open 24 hours. In warm weather, why not relax on the sun terrace or take a stroll down to the private beach? Each guest room comes with air conditioning and Satellite TV. Hotel Posta features a private car park and 2 meeting rooms.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff here are delightful, Donatello and her team work tirelessly! However, we found the hotel swathed in scaffolding which meant our rooms were permanently dark. In addition the noise from the work-fortunately only on one day- was irritating. The rooms were clean but need updating. The decor, particularly the furnishings are thrown together, or it seems like it. The wifi is good. The shower was hot but poorly equipped and old fashioned. I wasn't sure it was clean. Lots of clean towels, and very comfortable (single).beds. Good breakfast, same every day- fruit, yogurt, pastries, meats, cheese all brought to your table. The hotel is very well situated-near-guess? the huge Post Office!

This was a basic 3 star stay in Palermo, based one street back from the main road. While I had no problems at all, the overall area walking towards the hotel was busy, noisy, and dirty which didn't give the best first impression. My room was large and clean and had everything I needed, and the location was fairly central - just short walks to the historical centre, tourist sights, Palermo train station, and the water front. The staff at this hotel were very nice and helpful - the airconditioning unit had a bad leak and when I reported it, it was fixed incredibly fast. Lovely breakfast provided and a small and pleasant rooftop terrace area.

The condition of the hotel is poor. It is neglected and needs maintenance. the breakfast was terrible. I think there were only 2 guests in the hotel. I paid them by credit card when I left and a couple of days later my office received an email requesting my credit card details and pin number as they said I had left without paying. Will definitely never go back there

Hotel Posta Palermo - [ ] Lovely little quaint hotel in the heart of Palermo. We arrived 2 hours later than expected - thanks Ryanair- but we’re delighted to see the reception still open . It runs 24hours . Dario and Cosimo on the front desk were so nice and helpful - showed us where we could get food so late in the evening - so many restaurants near by great location We had a large room on the second floor with equally large bathroom . No safe or coffee facility or water in room . Can be very noisy when people leaving early though . Comfy bed - tv is mostly Italian Chanel’s though Breakfast is simple but you couldn’t complain - cold meats and cheese juices croissants fruit yogurt and wonderful coffee . Alessandra the young lady was so good . Martina on the front desk when we checked out again lovely young lady . Thank you all for a wonderful 3 nights Would highly recommend here is in the perfect location opposite the post office . The bus runs outside to the central train and bus station 101 and 102

The bedroom was tired and dated. Bathroom sink was badly cracked and unhygienic and toilet seat was broken and moved every time I sat on it! The shower cubicle was tiny and needed renovating. We arrived at 10am and were made to wait until 2pm to check in but when we finally did, the room was still dusty and mirrors and glass shelves were dirty. Juliet balcony was nice and it was great to be in the city with a view of roof tops. However, I did ask to move room and was promised this but on the allocated day it never happened and I was disappointed. Yes, the staff are friendly but ineffectual. It is very old fashioned and not a boutique hotel. Would never return.

The hotel is nicely located. Anything from sightseeing, restaurants, bars and shopping is just walking distance. The reception has been very supportive to organize pick-up service from the airport, helping us to get to the Mondello beach and provide help to find whatever we have been looking for in Palermo. The room has been clean and of good size with high ceiling. Breakfast has also been very nice with super friendly services. For sure an excellent hotel for those who want to spend a couple of days in Palermo.

Perfect hotel, situated centrally, easy walking distance for shops restaurants and all the amazing ancient buildings, cathedrals, opera and street markets. Staff were more than helpful, quirky small hotel with interesting past, and fascinating rooms to sit and cool off with a cold drink. Would return to stay again
