We were a family of four, 2 adults and 2 children, and stayed here from 23-28 October 2016. A special thank you to Licia, who lovingly took care of us throughout our stay. We miss your breakfast. Casa Grant has four rooms and is situated on the fifth floor of a block not easily recognisable but Boris rang us on arrival (we arrived close to 11pm) and met us outside and helped explain the car parking situation. We did hire a car, free street parking is easily found outside the B&B. Boris and Licia were marvellous, and on introductions, Boris explained our location to the sights whilst Licia made reservations for us at the restaurant across to them as we were hungry. The location is great and is a five minute walk to the back of the Teatro Politeama. From here you can carry on walking or catch the bus to any of the sights, markets and cathedrals (20-30 mins walk to sights). Once you get your bearings, you will realise that it is walkable from one place to another. There are many eating places nearby or street food outside and the evening atmosphere is friendly, warm and energetic. Young crowds of people do gather on the square in the evenings until early hours but it is very safe to walk around and they do not bother you at all and keep to themselves. Oh and please, do try the local food stalls. The neighbourhood is friendly and the locals will help with directions or queries as discovered on our first couple of days being there. We had two rooms, Arianna and Flavia, both had balconies overlooking the square and were great to sit and people watch. Both rooms were very spacious, comfortable and clean. I am a light sleeper but had no problem falling asleep, as the mattress and pillows were just as I like it. Both rooms had internet and charging points for phone etc. The AC worked well. You could also view Netflix on the television if you have an account (just remember to sign off when you leave). It was indeed a welcome retreat to come back to after a long day out. The bathrooms were big and had a bidet, which I greatly appreciated, as I do not have one at home. Breakfast was amazing and prepared by Licia who could not do enough to feed us. My children loved the Sicilian spread each morning, which consisted of plentiful cereals, bread, pastries, cheese, ham etc. Licha would always say at the end of breakfast “tomorrow we try …. ” and describe what we were going to have whether it was arancine or pizza like- sfincione or the one of the many typical Sicilian treats. We are normally hotel staying people when on holiday and this was the first time we stayed in a B&B. I am so glad we did as I would not hesitate to recommend Casa Grant in Palermo. What would I recommend? 1)Location 2)Rooms & facilities 3)Breakfast 4)Last but not least the hosts – Licia and Boris- who made us feel most welcomed and at home. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I liked this place a lot. It's really small and private (only 3 rooms). Boris (the runner of Casa Grant) is a great guy. The whole staff really cares about the guests. The rooms are nice and very clean. Breakfast was wonderful ( I loved the Pizza). Overall I felt like home and highly recommend people to stay there. The only thing you need to be aware of is that this B&B is located at a very busy place. Especially on the weekends it's very crowded and loud. No chance for light sleepers to sleep through although they have sound absorbing windows installed.

This is the place to stay in Palermo. Not only are the rooms nice, clean and big (and with private balcony), the 2 main reasons to go here are the breakfast and the hosts. Boris and his family are very welcoming and spoiled us a lot ;). And they gave us the inside information about Palermo that made our visit all the more perfect.

The warm and friendly hospitality extended by the owners, Boris and Licia, is genuine and typically Sicilian at it's best. They will bend backwards, if necessary, in an effort to make you feel at ease and at home, they care deeply about their guests wellbeing and comfort while at B&B Casa Grant and are keen to ensure they enjoy every aspect of their stay. The daily breakfast offering, whilst mainly centred on cold continental items, is nonetheless delicious and varied, from the freshly prepared fruit salad, to the typical Sicilian sweet bakery items, cakes, artisan breads, filled croissants, fantastic Cannoli, cheese, ham and many other typical delights. The room I stayed in is the Superior Triple Room and ensuite shower with complimentary slippers and shower gels, balcony with table and chairs overlooking the city, all spotlessly clean and charmingly furnished, comfortable beds, double glazing, air conditioning and a well stocked mini bar with drinks and snacks. I highly recommend staying at this B&B when in Palermo, if you enjoy a warm, friendly and homely atmosphere with a personal touch. I was offered tea and biscuits every afternoon, at no additional cost. What's not to like? Grazie mille Boris e Licia, un bacio!

Boris is gorgeous host! Helped with luggage, made early home made breakfast, he is always there to help and always ready to assist! Feels like being at home or staying with best friends. Room was big, very clean, with balcony. Might be a bit noisy at night but it is never sleeping Palermo!) Strongly reccomend this place!

set in the amazing neighborhood of "borgo vecchio" , in the middle between the port and the politeama theatre ( the center of the city) , casa grant b&b is a place to live entirely the amazing street life of Palermo and at the same time the peaceful and warning hospitality that makes sicilians famous. Boris, the owner, and his family make me and my girlfriend feel like at home. Moreover chambers are really comfortable ( large balcony and clean private bathroom) , spacious and affordable. We really suggest for all different kind of tourists, with or without family , this bandb to visit one of the best city in Italy. We had wonderful time there
