I so liked this hotel and I think it was amazing value for money! The location is brilliant - right on the edge of Ortgya for easy wandering and across the road from the sea. The hotel is modern and minimalist and has such a lovely clean and stylish feel to it. The rooms are big and comfortable and the...

The Gutkowski is an unusual hotel property that seems to have been carved out from two neighboring historic buildings. Our room was small, overlooking the restaurant seating on the sidewalk out front. Across the way was the sea wall, and we could glimpse a view of the sea to the right of our tiny balcony. The room location was a...

Lovely well managed hotel, very central and facing the sea, it enjoys a private parking. Unfortunately my trousers got stained by oil which was given to tables to strengthen their varnich. They were immediately sent to a stain remover at the hotel cost. Breakfast was good even if fried eggs were not available. Service was always at high standards. The...

A superb small hotel. The location is fantastic, views of the sea, quiet, clean and safe. A fantastic terrace to read and relax, central for walking, close to market, wonderful staff. The best breakfast I had in Sicily. I stayed a week.

Staff excellent, very helpful. Breakfast very good. Room small and clean...bed large and comfortable but takes up the whole room, but really good outside lounge area to make up for room size. Computer should be up-dated as it is not easily used. Parking easy in off season. excellent location in Ortigia. I stayed 2 nights. enjoyed it.

Impractical and not a welcoming room. Completely OTT praise for bunging a "stylish" statement piece of furniture here and there. Room size is reasonable and fairly quiet in acomfortable bed. But plenty of niggling faults: no drawers, no working safe, no tissues, no glasses, A/C not working. Basic shower with a poor finish. Breakfast was not bad, certainly not lavish,...

We stayed here for three nights. I have wanted to visit since I read Thucydides histories. The staff was very helpful, the breakfast was excellent, and the room was of decent size with a large window both there and in the bathroom. There was also a place to sit out and enjoy the sunset and to eat take out if...

This is a very good middle range boutique hotel facing the water in Ortigia. I have been here several times and it continues to be a great place to stay. It is located on two ex fisherman houses facing the water. The place has its charm: it has been rebuilt simply but with excellent taste with some industrial fixtures and...

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was very simple and clean and we had our own private rooftop balcony with a sea view. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Staying in ortigia was great as we were right by the sea and close to all the beautiful old buildings and quaint alleyways and streets. We had...

Great location, great value, very friendly staff. The rooms are on the small size but definitely I got a feeling of being in an authentic Sicilian hotel. The staff are very friendly and speak good English. The area is a beautiful old town with lots of restaurants and things to see and do. Be careful if using a hire car...
