Comfortable full service hotel within great walk distance to town . Easy bus transit from Taormina Giardini -Bus terminal was very close down the small hill - within a block from the entrance. Maid service very attentive and full breakfast buffet variety. Wifi always working - full 24 hr front desk and there are many areas to enjoy the view outside of the great Mediterranean - Pool. Great for large and family groups as there are many patio areas and full bar. Check out is slow - maybe try to do it in the afternoon the day before -

We stayed at the Ariston for 5 nights as part of a small group tour of Sicily. We had an enjoyable stay with a sea-view room and a small balcony. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel is ideally located to pretty much everything. It is a larger property and it seems to host a number of large tour groups, we were there (thankfully) in the off-season. The property does sit on a hillside with a few slopes and a series of steps to navigate as well as a series of elevators to get to your room. We did not use the pool or any of the other amenities and ate dinner out. The breakfast is satisfying with plenty of options and fresh orange juice. Though the decor may be a bit dated for some our room was clean and the housekeeper did a nice job. We wouldn't have any reservations recommending the hotel for a stay in central Taormina.

Would definitely return to this hotel. Close to Taormina, bus station and cable car. Due to some negative reviews on the hotel’s decor etc I was anxious before arrival but our room was very good, with a large patio area shared with three other rooms, our own sun loungers and table and two chairs, with a fabulous view. We were B&B but as the food was good we ate there most nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the Sicilian evening at the hotel.

Staff fairly helpful most of the time when you could get their attention. A few surly ones. Food generally good. Bit of a walk up from the road each time. Pool good. Great views from comfortable room.

Lovely hotel. I booked though jet2 and was spot on with my choice. The location Taormina is great. The staff are lovely. Breakfast is great with loads of options. I had a standard room with balcony and was on the back of the hotel so no sea view but it did not matter the room was lovely and shared balcony was fine. I read some reviews before my holiday that the rooms etc were bit run down but I did not see that, everything was traditionally decorated and more importantly clean and well maintained. I personally think this hotel is great for staying in Taormina. Thank you all for a lovely stay

We are happy we chose Ariston for our stay in Taormina. A very good location, probably the best in Taormina. You are close to everything, the bus terminal particularly. Reception / bar / swimming pool / breakfast/ housekeeping everybody was nice, friendly and helpful. The swimming pool is unique: huge and very deep. The garden is nicely kept and beautiful. Seaview is recommended: it's just breathtaking.

This is a great hotel in just the right place for exploring Taormina as it is a short walk to the old town and to the bus station. Our rooms all had a splendid view of the sea and the food at the hotel was superb, the evening meals being the best in town. I had a significant birthday during our stay and the hotel arranged fizzy wine at breakfast with 'Happy Birthday' sung by the staff. The staff at the hotel were outstanding. One of our friends slipped while out walking in the town and suffered a nasty cut to the head. They dealt quickly with the injury using ice packs and summoned an ambulance to take him to hospital. This was followed by one of the team driving his wife down to be with him.

Peaceful hotel with beautiful seaview. Busterminal was in front of main entrance. Yes it was old fashioned style furnished, but it didn’t bother at all. Good breakfast and staff, also rooms very clean. However in the bar and pool was couple of rude male waitress. Looked boring and didn’t like their job and visitors. Also people have to wait long time in the pool area to get towels or drinks. The staff was somewhere?

My wife and I booked this hotel independently via Booking.com over 12 months ago as bed and breakfast so got a really good price and a room update We should have had a std double with mountain view but the gentleman in reception gave us a large traditional family room with balcony and garden/ sea view in the lower annex named after Cavaleria Rusticano and it was super. Some might say dated, we thought it was lovely and traditional with large double and comfy pillows. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren but once you get your bearings it's ideally placed and you can go out of the top entrance or bottom one to both parts of town. The annex is closer to the bottom so it suited us perfectly because it cut off some of the hill down and some of the best restaurants are on the bottom road. TIP Book your restaurants in advance, they are always full. Breakfast was fine with fresh orange and most of everything you could want to eat. Pool area lovely, no bums rush for sunbeds here and lots of choice. Staff all friendly and helpful. Loved our stay here and we'll be back, Taormina is a gorgeous place with loads of nice bars etc in alleyways. No hesitation to recommend, it is built into the hillside but no walking beyond a normal person unless you're bone idle. I'm 75 and had little problem. Looking forward to returning already !
