Centrally located haven within Taormina. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. The garden, terrace and rooftop room were excellent. Very helpful host who went out of his way to make our stay a good one.. Would highly recommend staying here. The additional free use of a beach club and transfer were an added bonus
Livio was a perfect host. Very accomdating and the location is excellent. Make use of the beach clubhouse (and Paulo the massues) as nice chance to escape the busy Taormia. Great amenities and highly recommended.
We stayed 7 nights with friends having one apartment each with use of the jacuzzi, the outdoor garden area as well free access to the Paradiso Beach Club. The apartments are typically small but have all the amenities you would need for a very comfortable stay. The apartments are ideally located, just a few steps from the main street where you will find all sorts of shops, cafes and restaurants. Our host Livio was easily contactable and only too pleased to help anytime we imposed on him with questions about tours, taxis, recommendations for eating out etc. The apartments are serviced daily. We would come back again and would highly recommend a stay whether short or long, alone or with another couple.
Let’s start with the good points! The location is excellent! About a 5 minute walk from the main gate into Taormina, a little tricky to find but google maps sorted that. We had been double booked the first night so Livio booked us in for 1 night at the ElJebel 5* hotel that is 2 mins walk away from the apartment which was amazing (I will do a separate review for that). The apartment itself is clean and tidy. We were met by Francesco at the hotel to help us with our luggage. We were given keys and the door code. Our apartment wasn’t quite ready so we went for lunch while we waited. We stayed in the standard apartment with the upstairs lounge. The WiFi is excellent. The cleaner was really sweet. The garden area was nice but we never used it. It was clean and tidy but there were things missing. The front door key wasn’t on the fob, Francesco dropped this down in the evening for us as I wasn’t happy to go out and leave it unlocked. There was an ironing board but no iron, a tablet that wasn’t charged with no charger and no toaster (a basic need for self catering I would have thought?) I emailed Livio who sorted this out within the next few days although a sandwich toaster is not a toaster! To be fair, I wasn’t planning on doing any ironing and we had our own iPads so this really wasn’t an issue for us. Let’s get it straight, this apartment is extremely basic! You are paying for the location. The facilities here could be so much better. The kettle is tiny, scaly and takes 20 minutes to boil! It needs replacing badly, as does the fridge which keeps NOTHING cold! The milk went off really quickly! And a toaster guys, come on, it’s a basic need! This could potentially be a fantastic apartment but for us it was ok, just a place to stay. The lounge upstairs is fab but no British tv channels at all, but a nice place to sit and read when it’s raining (it rained a lot). Also I think the mattress may need changing, I am covered in bites and I was only bitten at night. The sheets were clean so I can only assume it was the mattress? All in all, it wasn’t that bad. It was a great base for exploring. There is a lovely bar round the corner and loads of places to eat nearby. Would I go back? No, but I never go back anywhere twice! Would I recommend it? Yes as long as you are clear with what you’re getting.…
This place is extremely well located right at the Piazza Duomo. There are only two rooms so not necessarily a hotel. More like a very large air bnb. But VERY nice. The place is exactly as it is presented in the pictures. It is clean and welcoming. Since this is more or a residence than a hotel just note you only get 1 - 2 towels and 1-2 soaps to shower with. No lotion and limited shampoo. There is not a front desk you can call down to for any amenities either. The couple did my check in virtually which was ok with me. But it's a bit inconvenient to have so little soap and limited towels when you want them. They also offer some day passes to the beach as part of your stay which is a nice gesture.
