About tree hours from Rome by car, but about 15-20 minutes away from the hill town of Cortona or smaller town Camucia. If you need to do bigger shoppings, it takes 20 minutes to drive one way. Good thing: the town of Mercatale is close - only 1 km or less, there are cafes, restaurant, a good bakery, 2 butchers...

We chose to stay at Agriturismo Pilari based upon the experience and recommendation of our friend Sandie, who visited with her family two years ago. We had driven from Florence after connecting by train, then to the airport to pick up our rental car. It was a bit of a hectic morning, but afternoon saw relief as we arrived at...

This was my first trip to Italy and I wanted to see as much of the country as possible including Rome, Florence and Venice. In addition, I wanted to explore Umbria, where my relatives are originally from. A friend of mine has utilized Pilari in putting together vacation packages and highly recommended the location. I am glad I listened to...

We are a family with three kids , we found well-furnished apartments in a small, green valley, exceptionally located in the centre of Italy, a family-run farmhouse with friendly owners, the best homemade red wine, places to go hiking in the woods, close to lake Trasimeno ( we went on a boat trip to the main island......lovely), stunning scenery when...

We've enjoyed our holiday at Agriturismo Pilari. The owners, Vanni and Diletta, are very helpful and friendly people. The three guest houses are quietly situated in the Tuscan hills. In the village you can taste the real Italian atmosphere (few tourists). Pilari has a nice big swimming pool with a jacuzzi! We've visited Rome, Florence, etc. Beautiful region and Pilari...

At the end of August I spent a few days with close friends and their little 4 year-old boy at Agriturismo Pilari. The cottage is located in a lovely valley, near an old castle and close to a sweet village (less than 1 min. by car) where one can find everything (grocery, nice cafés, excellent bakery, and even a restaurant)....
