We stayed at Helene and Giancarlos place for three nights in late june. The setting was just wonderful. Me and my wife traveled with our two children aged five and four months. We felt so welcome and we will absolutely come back one day. Most of the meals we ate at Podere Valdibotte and Helene is a wonderful chef. She...

Staying here was the perfect experience of the Tuscan countryside and an ideal base to explore Florence and surrounding cities. My wife and I stayed here for 4 days and had the best time. It was more like staying with family then staying in a B&B. I would recommend this to anyone, especially for dog lovers as the owners have...

I would first like to point out that this is THE quintessential Tuscan retreat for couples, family or lone travelers looking to relax and soak up the sun and warm hospitality of Helena and Giancarlo's Podere. These two really do make you feel at home on their retreat in the hills with their cool pool for summer days, Helena's home...

We had a fantastic 5 days here. It was low season so we had the area upstairs all to ourselves. Our made to order breakfast was fantastic! We will really be missing out new friends that we made at this rustic and quaint villa.

I must admit we were a bit disappointed about this b&b as we were expecting much better from the reviews and also because it ended up being our most expensive stay of these holidays and definitely not the best. The good: - Really friendly hosts - Proximity to Florence without the burden of parking (you take a tram for 1.2€)...

One of the main highlights of our stay in Florence was staying with Helene & Giancarlo in their magnificent home (only 25 mins out of the city) where they could not do enough for us. It's just magical, the amazing food and abundance of it, the level of service, the feel good factor, their dogs, the homemade wine (gorgeous) the...

This was a family trip in October - we have children aged 16 and 11. Podere Valdibotte is a great base from which to explore Florence and the surrounding area. After the tourist hustle of the city, it's a comfortable, homely place to come back to and relax. Helene, Giancarlo and Marguerite were perfect hosts - easygoing, great company and...

“The air conditioner wasn't working but we didn't need it because it got cool in the evenings. We opened our window and door to let the cool air in not thinking to turn on the mosquito repellent. We ended up with little red spots on our face and arms. They provide mosquito repellents so use it. It's normal to have insects in the countryside. I'm learning. :)”
