The moment we stepped into La Dimora degli Angeli we were so warmly greeted by Claudio and the staff that we felt like it was a "home away from home." And the B&B is very clean and stylish. My husband and I stayed in the beautiful "Bianca" room for 2 nights. Out the window you can see the Duomo, hear...

My husband and I stayed in "Beatrice" for 2 nights on our honeymoon. It started out a little rocky, as the previous hotel we were in had neglected to return our passports to us! Claudio was so helpful and understanding! He called the previous hotel and arranged to have our passports overnighted to us. He really saved us! The room...

My husband and I stayed in the Elana room one night and in Letizia room one night. It was decorated very nice, was in a great location and was clean. However, the beds in both rooms were VERY uncomfortable. We are in our early 30's and my back hurt from sleeping on these beds. Also, the Letizia room was much...

I am in agreement with all the other positive reviews; we stayed in room 'Bianca' which was a beautiful room with a view of the duomo. My husband found the room a little noisy overnight as it is so central that you can hear the sirens & general commotion outside, however it didn't bother me & I slept through it....

We stayed in the "Matilde" room at La Dimora degli Angeli for four nights in late August/early September 2011 - really can't praise it highly enough. We wanted to spoil ourselves a little for our wedding anniversary and it was luxurious, charming and atmospheric - very comfortable, air-conditioned, a lift for when we felt lazy getting up to the 4th...

We researched quite a few places to stay whilst planning our trip to Florence and this one consistently had top marks - and quite rightly so. As others have said, Claudio is an excellent host, friendly and always willing to help with any questions you may have about this beautiful city. The Beatrice room was gorgeous, and even though I'd...

We stayed 3 nigths. It's more than you expect from a B&B. Location, view, charm, romantic, attention, service. All right in the centre of Florencia. We live in London but we are from Mexico. Thank you for the hospitality. Eduardo & Paula

The location is excellent – right in the city centre (you can actually see Duomo through the window), about 7 minutes’ walk from the train station. The rooms are not big but very cute and beautifully decorated. It is sometimes a bit noisy at night – but that is something to be expected when you stay at a centrally located...

We stayed at La Dimora degli Angeli during our stay in Florence on our honeymoon. Claudio was an amazing host and treated us like royalty! The room (Beatrice) was beautiful and had wonderful views of Florence. The breakfast at the cafes were our favorite in Europe! The only negative about this B&B is the noise coming from the piazza nearby....

We were a family group of 6 - my husband and I, our two children, ages 10 and 13 and my parents. The B&B was fantastic and very family friendly. The location is excellent - walking distance to the train station and all of the popular sites in town. We went at the height of the tourist season in August,...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
