"Hotel dei Macchiaioli" is a great solution if you're visiting Florence, thanks to its central position. In fact, the hotel is in the centre of all main attractions: Duomo, Piazza della Repubblica, Palazzo Vecchio, Mercato Centrale etc. The hotel is also few minutes of walk away from Florence's train station. The hotel is located inside a Florentine historic building, and... More

What a lovely spot. Easy walk from train station and near the Duomo but a much quieter street than many others. Just a block or so from Medici Palace and lots of good restaurants and shops nearby. The staff was cheerful and always helpful. The room was delightful with a sweet

A friend and I stayed just one night while visiting our daughters who were studying in Florence this fall. It was a wonderful hotel, clean, quiet yet just a couple of blocks from the Duomo. Our suite had two bedrooms and two bathrooms, very modern facilities, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was so helpful in helping us with... More

Nice hotel located near that Accademia. The staff is always friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. The rooms are modest and comfortable, as well as the bathroom. The free wifi rarely worked in our bedroom, so we went to the comfortable lounge with couch and breakfast room to use our devices.

We booked two rooms for a family holiday. This is a lovely hotel in a quiet area which is still very close to the centre of the city. There are steps up to reception, but if access isn't an issue, then don't let this be off putting as I would imagine due to the historic nature of most buildings, this... More

This hotel was ideally located for the activities we had planned to do in Florence. Just a few blocks from the train station, it was easily walkable if you don't have heavy luggage to manage. Taxi cabs are readily available as well. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. They even stored our luggage most of the day when we... More

We really enjoyed our stay here especially as we had a beautiful fresco on the ceiling of our bedroom. We also had a small balcony that we could step out onto. Breakfast was also first-class in a gorgeous breakfast room. Bathrooms are very large by European standards. However, the bedroom was not exactly luxury hotel standards--small touches like some paintings... More

Great boutique hotel a short walk from the train station. Close to all major attractions in central Florence. A block from the Accademia gallery, and up the street from the Duomo. An easy walk to the Uffizi gallery, Republic Square and Rialto bridge.

The hotel is down a hall and up stairs from a busy street (for Florence). There is no lift - the reception will help with your bags. They do have chair lift if needed for those who cannot walk the stairs. It is right next to the Leonardo Museum and very close to the Galleria Dell Accademia and Florence Cathedral.... More
