The property has a convenient location for walking to the city sites, with dramatic views of the River Arno and Ponte Vecchio. The service of the hotel employees made us feel very welcome and special. Our dog was given her own bed and silver water and food dishes. What a wonderful touch. I would choose this hotel again, certainly. I can't imagine any hotel fitting our needs better.

The Hotel Lungarno is ideally situated in Florence, walkable to all the major tourist sites and with great river views. The staff and concierge (available via WhatsApp) were also quick to respond to any request.

Due to Hyatt status, we were upgraded to a river view room, which was beautifully decorated and had wonderful Ferragamo amenities (the bathroom was a little on the small side, but that's to be expected in Europe).

The Lungarno is quietly tucked away, even though the Ponte Vecchio is right next door, so you can enjoy the view without worrying about tons of noise. I would definitely stay here again if we ever re-visit Florence.

I like absolutely everything at Hotel LUNGARNO in Florence. I’ve been there twice and would come again with pleasure. It is the only hotel in Florence right on the river bank, no road, no promenade between the river Arno and windows. You can enjoy Sunrise from the riverside windows and Sunset from the rooms on the others side, quite panoramic upper floors, especially with balconies/terraces.
Check-in in a separate room, very private atmosphere.
Lobby is cosy and stylish, river view.
Breakfast is absolutely great, fresh fruit and berries, prosecco, variety of cheese, prosciutto, salmon, eggs and lots of greenery. Good coffee, cocktails cart in the bar.
The rooms are charming, with all 5* conveniences, cosy bed, coffee machine, comfortable bathroom with excellent cosmetics, all for leisure or business.
And special note for the staff, they are friendly and hospitable, you almost do not see them, very private atmosphere, and as soon as you need something, there is a person ready to assist with sincere smile.
And, very nice to accent, the location of the hotel is in the center, but on the other side of the river, right behind the Pontevecchio bridge. So, when you go to the very center of Florence, Uffizi Gallery, piazza Republica, Duomo Cathedral, Baptistery, Bell Tower, Santa Croce, Accademia, Capella Medici and so on, you cross the river twice a day, walking by Pontevecchio, that is very very nice!
Palazzo Pitti and Boboli Gardens are in a short walking distance from the Hotel LUNGARNO.
100% recommended with thanks and gratitude!

I think I might be the first guest in awhile to leave this hotel a negative review. As the others have noted, the design / decor are elegant and beautiful. The hotel feels like you are on a yacht. The location is excellent, on the river and tucked away on a more quiet street and away from the immediately touristy areas yet still within walking distance.

Having come immediately prior from two other five star hotels, we expected similar at Hotel Lungarno and were disappointed our ~$700 nightly rate did not meet our expectations. We were on our honeymoon and actually ran into a number of issues at this hotel, some of which were subjective and we addressed with the hotel at the time (i.e. we thought the mattress was rock hard and we felt we were given the worst room in the hotel on the first floor with no natural light directly above the lobby), others are worth noting here.

We felt that this hotel overall lacked the quality of service and attention to detail we would expect at this price point and its 5* level, and we were irritated that we had to phone the desk to ask for basics (in some cases we asked multiple times). There were many annoyances: the key card was required for power in the room and every time you put it in the TV would automatically turn on and play a commercial, we constantly heard doors slamming throughout the hotel, there were no glasses or cups in the room for tap water (nor any free bottled water) or coffee, the air conditioning was intermittently working, no non-slip mat to use in a very slippery shower, turndown service was not done one night and the second night they were in our room doing it at 10pm, the breakfast offerings were limited due to covid and were tiny and very disappointing, it took an hour one morning to get scrambled eggs and toast (no exaggeration), and finally, we felt that the concierge team rushed us and gave mediocre recommendations to get rid of us from their desk.

Our family of five stayed at The Hotel Lungarno for four nights in February. From the moment we arrived, we realized we were visiting somewhere special in Florence.

Let's start with the location. It will be hard to come across better views and access to Florence landmarks than at Hotel Lungarno. You could have coffee overlooking the Arno River and within five minutes, be in the heart of Florence. We really enjoyed the location of the hotel - many nearby local restaurants, shops, and even a local grocery store. Florence can become very busy, but the location of the hotel lets you escape the noise and crowds for a restful evening.

The rooms are gorgeous and well-appointed. We had a suite overlooking both the River and the city street. The noise level was no different on either side, so we all slept incredibly well. The showers were wonderful and with amazing Ferragamo bath products. The rooms are well-maintained, updated, and exceptionally cleaned each day (and night!).

The staff were wonderful, assisting us with anything we needed from the moment we arrived until we departed. They helped us coordinate a special celebration, and they even left fun surprises in our room each day we arrived back from our sightseeing. They truly cared about us and our wellbeing.

We won't be looking elsewhere next time we visit Florence. Hotel Lungarno was such a treat!

We had a great stay here for three nights in November 2019. It is right in the heart of the city with only a short walk to all the main touristy sites but as it is south of the Arno, you don't feel too surrounded.
We brought out two young children (aged 3 and 1) with us and both we and they were treated beutifuly from start to finish. The hotel staff were so kind to us (particularly with two pretty messy children) and were incredibly accomdating about a room change on the first day.
A real pleasure to stay here and we look forward to returning in the future.

WOW! We stayed here for our honeymoon and everything from the staff and rooms to the breakfast views was perfect!

Our room was serviced daily and all our toiletries and teas were replenished daily. The staff responsible for up keeping our room went above and beyond - straightening our toiletries, fluffing pillows, and providing turn down service. They were fantastic.

The front office staff, concierge, doormen, and breakfast and cocktail waiters and waitresses were attentive and welcoming.

The views from the hotel overlook the river and Ponte Vecchio - so you really couldn’t ask for a better location.

I booked the Hotel Gallery D'Arts and at the last moment was told that the hotel was still closed due to covid and i would be rebooked into the Lungarno. What a marvelous alternative. The hotel is located on the south side of the river, almost immediately adjacent to Ponte Vecchio - so grate location for walking to almost all the interesting sights.
Breakfast was inlcuded in the room rate and we took it in the small terrace overlooking the river. The breakfast itself was simple but satisfying, yoghurt, cereal, croissants etc. Staff were bright, friendly and efficient.
We enjoyed extended apertivos later on the main terrace near the front door of the hotel. Once again, directly overlookig the river, we were honored with the changing pastels of Florence as the sun set. The apertivos and wine were marvelous and the staff were efficient and super friendly. We had a great time but I recommend reserving a table even when you iniotally book your room. There are only three tables overlooking the river.
Our first night we had a standard King room with a river voews from large windows, which was nice. On our second night we were in the 6th floor terrace room with large sunny terrace, umbrella and chairs, all overlooking Ponte Vecchio. It was a spectacular experience.
Overall, if you can afford to spend a little more for the luxury experience, the Lungarno is highly recommended. First class lodging with a first class staff to match.

Beautiful, small hotel located right on the Arno near the Ponte Vecchio. Close to everything, including my favorite restaurants. Rooms are not huge, but they’re done to a high standard and the lobby and main areas give one the feel of being aboard a lovely cruise ship. Lunch overlooking the river was excellent. I have stayed a couple of times now and will definitely book again on my next trip. Highly recommended.

This is my first review in a long while. I normally don't do this but today I am making an exemption by giving this review to commend the hotel and staff for their extraordinary services. I spent a short while at the hotel in a beautiful room with an amazing view and the first class experience I got has left a good impression on me, especially from the staff. They were all super friendly and courteous, not just to me alone i believe but to everyone of their clients. The staff are neat, welcoming and nice especially Imran. Always greeting, friendly and wanting to know how my stay was going. I also liked how the housekeepers carried out their work efficiently without much disturbance for the time I was present in the room. I also got to try the super delicious cocktail called the "Negroni Twist" from the bar. It was recommended by Imran and the bar man, I think Marco is his name and it was Eccelente!!!!
I personally, I am giving this hotel a 5-star rating because of the exceptional services i got which indeed added to making my visit to Florence a memorable one. I am definitely looking forward to staying at the hotel again when next I visit Florence. I recommend everyone to book the room with River view over looking ponte vecchio. And this is my 2 cents.
