Welcome to your home… To appreciate a house, it is of primary importance to know its history. The Hotel Ariele is built from two buildings of different ages: the first was constructed from an ancient tower dating back to the 1400’s, the second from a prestigious palace dating back to the 1700’s, formerly occupied by various embassies, including the Swiss embassy during the Kingdom of Italy and the residence of numerous Florentine families. Even today you can still breathe the air and the splendour of those times, in the large rooms with vaulted ceilings, in the intimacy of the common rooms or be embellished by splendid fireplaces of the time. The hotel was completely renovated in 2022 while respecting the charm of an ancient Florentine residence has given it a contemporary look with all the main and modern comforts without sacrificing its classical nature.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The pictures on the website didn’t show how beautiful this hotel actually is! Room was big and very clean, breakfast was included. Reception staff very helpful. Highly recommend this place! Location was also great, it can take you to the train station in less than 10 mins (if you know the back streets, which I found out almost at the end of my stay) and also very close to the river so nice scenery!

A new establishment with cozy and comfortable rooms, high ceilings, nice breakfast and professional staff passionately willing to oblige. Parking facilitated via a nearby garage is convenient for car travelers. Train station minutes away and so are the historical marvels of the city. Embankment of the Arno provides great opportunity for runs and walks to the Piazza Michelangelo to watch over the rising / setting sun over the Fiore and the city that shall always be.

Rooms were spacious with high ceilings and a large bed. There was a nice patio area outside the room. Breakfast was fantastic. Plenty of choice and barista made coffee upon arrival each morning. Location was slightly off centre, however situated on the riverside, so a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the main centre. Very enjoyable stay and perfect for a city break in Florence

Clean, spacious room. The location is quiet and easy access to the centre. A very varied breakfast. Friendly, helpful team. We would like to thank the staff who made an effort to bring us a breakfast bag one morning when we had to leave early (we apologise for not remembering his name in a hurry).

The staff at this hotel are so friendly and accomodating you can immediately see why they’re rated so highly on Tripadvisor. The rooms have such beautiful high ceilings and are reasonably well equipped with all the things you may need. A couple of highlights of the stay were; 1. We were in the room until the afternoon just resting and only went out for dinner, and in that time housekeeping somehow knew to service our room so it was nice and fresh when we returned. Amazing! 2. Our booking included breakfast and while we were leaving quite early (before breakfast) they offered to pack us a breakfast to go. Impressed! 3. We didn’t organise parking because it was a last minute decision to rent a car and the team at the hotel were super accommodating anyway. Thank you! At first you think this hotel is a little out of the way but in reality it is actually quite well placed. It’s a short walk to town but along that walk there is a lot more local life to see (which is great for seeing how locals live and to walk off all the inevitable food you’ll be eating )

Room Tip: There is some construction across the road. I didn’t hear it but it woke my partner up. Light...

The location of this hotel is great. It's not far from the station but quiet. The decor is pleasant, and the staff are very welcoming. I recommend the breakfast too. If I return to Florence I will use this hotel again without hesitation.
