This is more of a review of the wonderful staff at Hermitage Hotel than the hotel which I have stayed at before and loved. A few months ago I was touring the Uffizi with friends. We got separated and for hours without a phone, I could not find them and (stupidly) did not have their phone numbers anyway. We were...

I stayed at Hotel Hermitage in July with two friends. The trip started with the airline losing our luggage, but the staff helped us to get in contact with the airline and insisted that we enjoy the city and said that they would handle any and all issues with our luggage and be in contact with us. They did all...

Stayed there for three nights. I had a favourite hotel in florence where I always stayed at for the last 10 years. This time I couldn't take it and had to look for a hotel. It turned to be such a wonderful discover with lower price than my regular hotel. Staffs's service is beyond my expectation and the room is...

Wonderful hotel, a jewel from the past. Antiques abound. Traditional atmosphere, service and welcome in abundance. Staff could not be any more friendly or helpful, service was exemplary. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful and good choice every morning. Breakfast room was very pretty with lots of natural daylight and great views over the rooftops. There is a great guest lounge with...

Hotel is located steps from Ponte Vecchio. The reception is on the 5th floor so when you enter the building, get on elevator to 5th floor to check in. The included breakfast is decent with cold cuts, pastries, bread, yougurt, cereals and fruits. Breakfast room, rooftop terrace have awesome views of Florence. The staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel also...

Perfect location and lovely terrace. We opted for a deluxe room which was perfect. We had room 415 which overlooks a courtyard and has a large jacuzzi bath. When I return to Florence I will most definitely stay here.

The Hotel is located at the closest point of Ponte Vecchio. It's almost invisible until you arrived. The old fashion decoration and details are quite good for the price. I've made an upgrade when I arrived with my wife and the results were marvelous. Breakfast is incredible and rooms are quite comfortable. Small but precious. The Terrace needs a special...

Located on busy street near the river. Since air conditioning was limited, we had to keep windows open at night which was loud. Street noise all night from motorcycles, sirens and trucks kept waking us up. Lots of stairs to enter as well. Overpriced. We switched hotels for less money and found peace and quiet.

I stayed at the Hotel Hermitage in Florence in early October. The location of the hotel is very convenient and central. It’s only about 12 euros to the train station and 25 euros from the airport. You can pretty much walk everywhere in central Florence. It’s across from the Ponte Vecchio and a few blocks from the Uffizi. The convenient...

We booked a superior room which we learned was the same size as a standard room except for a bathtub in the bathroom. Rooms are very small, wardrobe for clothes and one tiny chair next to it. That is to be expected in an old hotel, but this was particularly small. Decorations are very tired. During breakfast, the buffet ran...

Neighbourhood Profile
Uffizi
Every visitor coming to Florence for the first time will immediately identify with Uffizi. As in past times, passing through Via dei Calzaiuoli, you can reach the city center, the Florence that everybody dreams of. In just a few steps, visitors can experience the rare beauty of the capital of the Renaissance. walking delighted across Palazzo Vecchio and overlooking Piazza della Signoria, up to the Loggia of the Uffizi where it is possible to fully taste the talent of the best artists who animated Florence over the centuries. When the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than a walk along the river Arno up to the ancient bridge, Ponte Vecchio. It is full of jewels and decorated by the colors captured in postcards.
