We had the most perfect stay at Bellosguardo in August 2016, celebrating my birthday. One of the hotel managers reserved us a table at the most fantastic trattoria in the suburbs of Florence for supper, which we will most definitely be returning to. The view over Florence from Bellosguardo is unparalleled, and the perfect atmosphere and friendly service must be... More

This place does not seem real. Everything is so picturesque it feels like a movie. Completely worth the short walk to the city. You won't even want to leave the hotel. Everyone was very helpful and the room was amazing, 500 year old bed, fresco on the wall, ancient wood paneling. Treat yourself.

A wonderful return to the past in this historic hotel in Florence. On arrival I came across the best view of the city, in a calm and relaxing atmosphere where I was welcomed by friendly and welcoming staff. Definitely a place to revisit. Thanks for the great experience.

This is an idyllic hotel in an idyllic setting - above the city, above the bustle, set in a jewel of a garden, with a fabulous unique pool enjoying more fabulous views than from Piazza Michelangelo. The rooms are huge and festooned with antiques. The Franchetti family, who own this Renaissance marvel, have ensured that it survives and prospers without... More

Dear Guest, We were quite embarrassed by your exceptional review: there are undoubtedly many other gorgeous hotels in the world. What matters though, is that your stay in Bellosguardo was a total success. You really did discover and appreciate every corner of the hotel and garden. We are most grateful to you for such a glowing review. All that remains... More

Well I'm a very lucky chap, my wife secretly booked flights, cabriolet car and the stunning home of Amerigo and Anna Franchetti for a for a four day celebration trip to glorious Firenze. It is simply the most incredible location, a short twenty minute walk into town and restaurant heaven. We had the Tower room with a window on all... More

My wife and I stayed at this lovely, historic villa with phenomenal views of Florence in the distance and exquisitely managed grounds in October. We found ourselves wishing that we had booked this accommodation for additional nights. Sadly, our travel itinerary and planned town visits in Tuscany would not permit alterations. This villa has been completely restored and modernized and... More

Stop looking for hotels to book in Florence, this is the best you will find. Removed from the city with an amazing view over Florence (but a quick enough cab ride or walk in that you don't feel isolated from seeing the sights) - this was hands down the highlight hotel of our trip to Italy. From the moment we... More

Every time this place gets better. Bellosguardo sits high above the bustling crowded city of Florence with what must be the greatest view in Italy. As if that isn't enough, this magnificent family home, now a hotel, is still owned by the Baron's family who with their lovely staff treat you like their own guests. This is a late Renaissance...
