I recently returned to Bellosguardo -- not long after my stay there this past spring. The hotel is a wonderful base from which to continue to explore Florence. It provides a wonderful combination of proximity to the city with a calm and peaceful environment when one wishes to s

If you'd like to stay in a genuine museum with fabulous gardens - and a magnificent price to match - this is certainly the option for you. In no way, however, does this place even resemble a hotel, and the claims made by the owner to the contrary are false. There is nothing in th

Dear Guest, We were deeply surprised by your extremely unpleasant review and by its total lack of objectivity. A serious reviewer would never write a complaint so devoid of content which seems aimed solely at damaging our reputation. You go so far as to imply that our long list of extremely positive reviews is untruthful. This means the reviews are either false or that you are our only guest to have good taste - and to know what a good hotel should be like. We explain in detail on our website who we are and make no false claims about the hotel. It is regrettable that you seem not to have taken the time to read about Torre di Bellosguardo before booking. Had you read up on our hotel maybe you would have chosen to stay elsewhere. This would have spared you a regrettably negative experience and us such an unpleasant review. Fortunately readers of web reviews have become more discerning and can tell fair opinions from the misleading ones. We are of course far from perfect and therefore always welcome and value constructive criticism but wholeheartedly reject clearly unfair and subjective reviews which are not based on facts. There are many people who seek hotels like Torre Di Bellosguardo which are unique and different in character and ethos from your typical impersonal “big chain” hotel. Being different bears its costs but we strongly believe in our goal and work hard every day to improve this unique place.

Where are the pool chairs , I looking for a place to lay near the pool
There are sufficient full size sun loungers at the pool. Plus there is a little pool house with a member of staff handing out towels and taking orders for drinks etc. The view of Florence from the pool side is extraordinary. First thing and in the evening you can listen to the church bells from all of Florence ringing.

Have 3 nights booked later this month and doing some planning. Are there hair dryers in the rooms?
I went to school here in 1969 when it was the American Speaking School. We lived in Roveta and my father studied art at the University of Florence. It is wonderful to know that it is now a hotel. William Preston Mangum ll (Author of "A Kingdom For The Horse")
Dear Mr. Magnum, Thank you for your email. After inheriting Bellosguardo from my father, my ex wife and I restored the building and opened as a hotel in 1988. You can see what it looks like on the website. Best regards, Amerigo Franchetti

Hello, we are a family of 4 with older children who do not wish to share a bed any longer! Can your beds be separated into 2 single beds? Also, do any of your suites accommodate 4 people - or would we need to get 2 rooms? Thank you
Do you have transportation to the city/downtown?
Sorry just got this. Yo can easily walk down, take taxi up. There s also a bus. Taxis are very reasonable.
