This is an exceptional hotel! The location in Florence is wonderful and close to many important sites. The hotel is beautiful, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious with many choices in a beautiful setting. The Roman ancient ruins under the hotel comprise an amazing museum experience. We highly recommend this fantastic hotel!

Hotel's Favourite
First of all, this hotel is top notch on so many levels I don't even know where to start. It's built inside a tower that dates back to the 6th century and is in the heart of historic Florence. I had originally wanted to stay in the Lungarno which is 5-star but it was so prohibitively expensive and I was going to be siteseeing and seeing my kid who's studying here for a semester abroad, so not in the room that much so I went with the 4-star Brunelleschi but it should be 5-star. It's in a tiny hidden Piazza so it's very quiet but literally 3 mins from the famed Duomo and so incredibly close to the Uffizi Gallery and everything else you want to see. I was obsessed with the breakfast buffet which includes a juice and smoothie bar, and piles of crispy, paper-thin bacon. They have fresh everything and my daughter told me the buffet here was better than the Lungarno. My room was perfect; they upgraded me to a junior suite (room 229).. spacious and huge bathroom with rain shower and modern, gorgeous fixtures, instant hot water, no waiting (like at the St. Regis in Rome where 5 mins later the water is still cold in the shower). Large screen tv, 2 different types of coffee machines-- one basic and one for espresso, pods included. Fresh bottled water every night, and the housekeeping was spectacular. I know that sounds weird to point out but every time I came back to the room it was in perfect condition. Everything wiped down. The room was very well lit which is a big deal for me because hotel rooms are often very dim but there were multiple floor lamps and tonal understated decor. Not a great view, the room overlooked a tiny street below but not noisy at all. The restaurant directly across from the hotel, Il Paoilo is phenomenal. Oh and btw, there's a Michelin star restaurant IN the hotel. I didn't get a chance to try it but hear it's amazing. I don't usually take so much time to write a review like this but it was totally deserved. Giuliana and Sergio at the front desk were accommodating and professional. Finally, the scent of the hotel is like fresh grapefruit.. I checked the atomiser in the lobby and it's a Italian fragrance company with a website and I am totally ordering the scent online. Seriously, do NOT spend a fortune at the Four Seasons or the Lungarno.. Get a jr. suite at Brunelleschi and you will be so happy. I am.

They stole our heart at minute number one! My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for 3 lovely nights! This hotel has an excellent location to shopping, museums/gardens and of course food! Our room & hotel in general had impeccable cleanliness. Our bed was very comfortable with excellent down service. Breakfast was superb each day. Giovanna and all other staff delivered a 5 star quality with the freshest juices, fruits, Prosecco, cappuccinos, eggs, bacon, waffles, sliced meats with the finest cheeses, etc. The gym overlooking was fantastic garden was great down to the cooled towels provided upon completion of workout. Fabio at the Tower Bar makes the best drinks- period!! Paulus, Rafaele, Cosimo & Gabriel at from desk were very attentive to all our needs daily! They gave great recommendations for the area and even gave us personalized maps to help ensure we had no difficulty navigating the city. Umberto & Frank were also wonderful helping tremendously to ensure we were well taken care of upon arrival and at departure. The General Manager, Stefano was also very accommodating & had a personality of gold when dealing with us. Magnificent stay for everyone and if you enjoy being taken care of don’t think twice about staying here! I’ll be counting the days until we return. Ciao!

My family stayed here in connecting rooms during our recent trip to Italy. This is a really extraordinary hotel in every way and I strongly recommend it for families or anyone! Not super cheap but well worth the $$$ Highlights of our stay: 1. Absolutely impeccable accommodation in every way: clean rooms, comfortable beds, everything first class. 2. Wonderful assistance from the concierge desk: private tours booked for Uffizi, Academia (with local food tour), and a golf cart overview. All were absolutely excellent. 3. Also assisted with restaurant bookings - including at the 2 star Michelin restaurant onsite. Which was a wonderful 4 hour feast including absolutely amazing and interesting wine pairings. 4. Great location - in central Florence. Walkable to everything (including from the train station 15 minutes). 5. Super interesting small museum in the basement - hotel is on the site of a 1st century Roman bath and has an underground excavation showing Roman, medieval, and renaissance remnants. 6. Excellent breakfast. Only wrinkle as other reviewers have mentioned is bathroom door is basically transparent. So with a boy and girl pre-teen / teen there was some “stay out while I shower!!” Type discussions.

Excellent Hotel. Excellent location. Very quiet side street away from the crowds make this a wonderful hotel. Altho one morning a sewage truck had us awake from 5.45 am for three hours outside on the street. Food is very good. Breakfast is very good altho sometimes the service is a bit slow but that seems to be the thing in Italy. We ate one night in the hotel and it was lovely to be able to sit outside in the warm air. Our room looked out onto the street but you could not hear the crowds with the windows closed. Air con is either on or off, you could not adjust it. Bed was very comfy and bathroom v nice. Towels fluffy. The staff are what makes this hotel. Sergio the concierge was extremely friendly and helped us plan a wonderful day out. We hired a guide/drive to bring us to Siena, and a winery. It was hugely enjoyable and well worth the money. Little things niggled like...no iron, no hairdryer, no corkscrew (but was given when we asked for it), mini bar not replenished every day. Other than that we would recommend this hotel and we will definitely go back again.

Only stayed one night. Was greeted by Sergio at the front desk. He was just excellent throughout our short stay. We had a party of 6 so we had 3 rooms and they were all connected at the end of the hallway. Really convenient set up. Loved the location near everything. Beds were comfortable. Shower had great water pressure, although it was a shower in a tub with a high step over. Sergio recommended an outstanding nearby casual restaurant. The next morning, Sergio organized 2 bell hops to help us move all of our luggage to our car very expeditiously. May not seem much, but the entrance is a little funky so this was quite helpful

Wow, having traveled to Europe many times over the years and having stayed in many beautiful hotels, the hotel Brunelleschi is as good as gets. The Concierge team and hotel staff went to extreme levels to provide us not only wonderful accommodations, but meticulous attention to detail, and best in class personalized concierge service. We were treated like family. Sergio and Simone were incredible! They were well experienced, extremely knowledgeable and well-connected to the best restaurants, attractions and special experiences within Florence. The guides referred in Florence and Tuscany were fantastic. We are already planning a return visit to Florence in 2025 and will surely include the Hotel Brunelleschi in our travel plans. The hotel is perfectly centered, within walking distance to basically everywhere. The Duomo is extremely close by, you can hear the bells throughout the day which is lovely. The staff are attentive and friendly, everyone from the greeters at the door to the housekeeping team. There are a couple of great restaurants in the hotel as well, although we did not get a chance to eat at them on this trip. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the bathroom was especially large for being in Italy. When we come back to Florence we will absolutely stay at Hotel Brunelleschi again.

Our stay in the hotel was lovely. We were met by friendly reception staff who showed us to our room. On another occasion, I needed information and Mattir, who spoke very good English, was very polite and extremely helpful. It was my birthday on the day we arrived and I was given a cake later on in the day. A lovely gesture! The location of the hotel is fantastic and couldn't be more central. The breakfast was delicious with everything you could think of and again, the staff were very friendly. Drinks in the hotel are very expensive but there are lots of bars and restaurants in the square to choose from.

The situation is perfect, right in the centre of Florence - it's possible to see the Duomo from right outside, just a few yards away. The staff will call for a taxi to the door if you need one. They are so friendly and helpful at all times. The breakfast has an amazing choice, and the bar and Osteria are equally good. I would unhesitatingly recommend it to anyone, and would love to go back myself.
