Just left Hotel Goldoni, location is great for Florence and rooms are a great size. The only issue was the smell in room 25 - stayed for 2 nights brought up the issue in day one and we were happy for the staff to bleach...More
We enjoyed our visit at the quirky 3* hotel.
The elevator was epic, proper old school.
The staff were accommodating and friendly, breakfast hit the spot too.

had to book at the last minute, 3 hours before my flight left USA, and Goldoni was offering a deal, slightly over U$60 for a single. (Even though getaroom.com bumped the price up $7 from what Kayak had said it would cost). I booked for...More
In Florence for a week and stayed at The Goldoni where the hotel was very clean, the staff so helpful (especially with the carta igienica), and cheerful. The breakfast was good, the beds comfortable and the air conditioning very efficient.

Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The
area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
