Originally a 15th century “Palazzo”, the Hotel Bernini is built according to the Classic Florentine architectural style, with string-course cornices along the walls and wooden shutters giving it a charming antique flavor. The Bernini Palace is located in Florence’s historic center, right behind Piazza della Signoria - just a stone’s throw from the Uffizi and Florence’s main historical attractions. The rooms are 74, Classic, Superior, Deluxe, Junior Suite and Suite, all are fitted out with the best, most up-to-date mod-cons and still preserve the charm of the past. The Tuscan Floor is reminiscent of old world Tuscan colours and themes, very warm and inviting. The new restaurant La Chiostrina is located in a historical courtyard of the hotel, it is the ideal place for delicious gastronimic specialities in Florence, its versatility makes it an excellent restaurant offering an innovative menu. A full breakfast is served in the magnificent Sala Parlamento (complete with a splendid frescoed ceiling) formerly a meeting place for members of Parliament and Senators of the Kingdom of Italy

When visiting Florence the location of the hotel is key since there is no city public transport and cars are not allowed. This hotel is the answer. It is located minutes from all the important sites and is a five star hotel that earns all its stars. It is beautiful. My room was a junior suite with a great bathroom (lots of marble, glass stall shower that is super roomy and tasteful, nice towels and toiletries), with beautifully shiny new fixtures. Two TV sets in the room, one in the salon and one n the bedroom. Inlaid floor, new textile wall settings, three chandeliers, USB ports on each side of the bed and nice bedding. Breakfast was great. Ate in the restaurant at a reasonable price and nice food. Climate control is modern and works well. Staff were ALL cheerfully very helpful. The hotel is old style but in perfect condition. And the location is perfect. we will want to be back.

My husband and I stayed at Bernini Palace Hotel in October 2020.

We had the most fantastic stay!

The location is unbeatable, you are steps away from all the major sites such as Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Gallery, The Duomo and many more!

The room is very well appointed with all the comfort of a 5 star luxury hotel.

What made our stay extra special was the team! Not only very professional but extremely friendly and attentive to their guests needs. We could see that they all have a true passion for hospitality and went out of their ways to make our stay unforgettable.

We would also recommend dining at the hotel restaurant, La Chiostrina. The food is simply amazing and the team (in particular Bartolo) is extremely knowledgeable and can recommend great wine pairing options!

We will definitely come back and would recommend it to anyone wanted a luxury experience in the heart of Florence.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Bernini Palace in May for our honeymoon. We are going back to Florence this year and I’m absolutely staying at this hotel again. The location is fantastic, walking distance to everything. Rooms and nice and more spacious than most European hotels I’ve stayed in. The breakfast was excellent and the room that they serve it in is quite historic, ask a server about it to get the entire story. The front desk staff was very accommodating, ordering cabs for us multiple times, booking dining reservations both before we arrived (simply emailed and they called on our behalf) and when we were in Florence, they recommended an excellent wine bar down the street. This time around we have organized a private driver to take us from Florence to our next stop in Tuscany and the staff at Bernini Palace organized it all. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay right in the heart of Florence without compromising on anything.

The hotel and all its staff were excellent, nothing was too difficult for them. We loved the fresh linen bedding and the restaurant and bar menus were carefully crafted with, sadly, only a few vegetarian options, although saying that the pasta with pesto was amazing, my wife assured me.
An excellent wine list with a good selection of by the glass.
The very best bit was the location, you are truly within minutes on foot of all the major attractions and if you choose to visit one church, not counting the Duomo, then Santa Croce is a must, again only minutes walk from the hotel.

Stayed here this past weekend. Good service all around from checkin to departure. Room was comfortable - bed and pillows good. Soft linens were good for sleeping. Bathroom was small but expected in the city and still had a full size shower.

Breakfast was nothing great. Usual continental breakfast items plus some hot food like scrambled eggs, pancakes, wurstel etc. location is amazing ... 15 mins walking radius to most sights!

All in all a great place to stay and will definitely return.

If I were to pick areas for improvement. It would The area around the lift that smelled of sewage due to Florence gutters swelling from the recent rains. That can be easily solved by putting in an aquaflor diffuser right there and in the lift!

Unfortunately we booked a small room but will book a larger level room the time we stay at this classy, well maintained hotel. To be fair, the website did accurately describe the accomadations - room size is a crapshoot in old buildings in Italy our room was small but extremely clean and comfortable. The bed was made with real flax linen sheets that were pressed each day (what luxury!) and the room was absolutely spotless. You cannot have a better location in Florence and the concierge, Lorenzo, was spot on with restaurant recommendations.

The staff at Bernini Palace hotel, which is a delightful small boutique hotel right in the heart of Florence and very close to Santa Croce, Bargello Museum, Opera di Santa Maria del Foote di Firenze, were very warm and hospitable and the rooms were kept spotless. I was in Italy for about two months and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I packed my bags and moved to the hotel to enjoy an extra week in Italy but found out that I was Covid positive. Had to go into isolation. The staff were very kind and let me return to my room to quarantine. They left my food outside my door and did their best to provide me with good food even bringing me a glass of Champagne for New Year's Eve and it was the best I had ever tasted. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me. I am glad to be home now but I left part of my heart in Florence. Highly recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is in a central location next door to Palazzo Vecchio and a stone’s throw from il Duomo and Ponte Vecchio.

Upon arrival the doorman took our luggage and took us to the reception desk where the staff we’re waiting for us. Although check in was normally much later, the manager knew we were on an early flight and our room was already prepared allowing us to freshen up before exploring Florence.

The room was large and comfortable. There are plenty of usb charging points for the essential electrical devices. The WiFi worked well.

Staff keep everything really clean. They are very friendly and cannot be faulted on their care and attention. We were constantly asked if there was anything we needed.

The breakfast includes bacon, sausages and scrambled eggs as well as the continental breakfast.

This is an extremely elegant hotel. We will stay again!

The Bernini Palace is a delightful place to stay in Florence for both the ambiance and top notch customer service.

I booked this hotel for a colleague who was staying 4 nights on a business trip, and for personal time over the weekend.

The hotel is centrally located and easy to find. He was greeted by Stefania, and he mentioned how lovely and attentive she and the rest of the team were throughout his stay. No task was too small, and they seemed to truly enjoy their work and meeting people from around the world. While the hotel is traditional and refined in decor, the team makes you feel at home.

My colleague stayed on the 4th floor, in a small double room with nice ceiling height and good light. Impeccably clean with daily housekeeping and turndown service complete with slippers and robes. The bathroom had a lovely rainfall shower and nice amenities. The towels were high quality and very absorbent and soft.

He had his laundry sent out for same day service and garments came back neatly folded and pressed.

Breakfast was included as part of his booking, and he said the buffet was very good, ranging from hot entrees to continental offerings.

All in all, he would absolutely recommend and stay again in the future.

Grazie Mille to all the wonderful team at Bernini Palace!

Fabulous location, right in the centre of Florence with many of the key sights within a few minutes walk. Every single member of staff was lovely, from concierge Alessandro who made a dinner reservation for us, the really friendly and welcoming staff in the breakfast room and bar, and on the reception desk. When I emailed the hotel after making our reservation Doris was extremely helpful in ensuring that every one of our requirements about our room and bathroom ( due to limited mobility) were met.
We had a Grand Deluxe room which was wonderfully quiet despite overlooking a side street. Beautifully decorated and furnished, spacious, excellent air conditioning, really comfortable beds with 100% linen bed linen, very effective blackout curtains, plenty of wardrobe and storage space with a safe and a minibar. (The only thing we would have liked were chairs which were more comfortable.) We stayed in several 5 star hotels on our trip and this was the only hotel that automatically changed the bed linen daily.
The marble bathroom was spacious with double basins, walk-in shower, bath, bidet, robes and plenty of towels. Toiletries were plentiful and lighting was good.
Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of fresh fruit, yogurts, cereals, cold meats, cheeses, hard boiled eggs, fruit juices, rolls and bread, pancakes, cakes, tarts and doughnuts. We didn't eat any cooked items.
There are reminders everywhere that the building is an old palazzo, and the breakfast room is stunning. We'll stay again next time we visit Florence.
