This is our 3rd stay at the Grand Hotel Minerva. Every year we do a weekend trip with our husbands and a bunch of friends and always stay here. We love this hotel. The hotel is very well decorated, and in the prime location. The breakfast is full of local organic Italian food

We had a 6 day trip to Florence and chose this hotel as it had a rooftop pool, is close to all the main sights, railway station and located in a traffic-free square. The Grand Hotel Minerva is really stunning with excellently appointed rooms (although we would have

Dear Linda S, thank you for your kind words of appreciation. We are truly happy to know we contributed to a pleasant Florence experience. Please accept our apologies for substandard service at the rooftop bar. At the beginning of June we had to replace part of our rooftop bar staff and it took some time to fine tune operations. It is very kind of you to say that the view partially made up for the unfruitful waiting time. We look forward to your next visit. With my kindest regards, Filippo Burroni - General Manager

It took us 5 - 10 minutes to wheel our luggage from the station. As we rounded the corner, we saw this magnificent square with a lit Christmas tree. There was a beautiful church on the square and alongside the church was our hotel. Friendly, welcoming staff. Spacious lobby. We

What is the garage parking like ?
You cannot park at the hotel/square, only for the period of packing. There is a parking service in hotel where you need to give them the key, so they take the car and park it in some nearby garage for I believe 30 EURs/night, which is quite high. It takes about 10-15 mins to get your car upon request. Also they take care of the license request not to receive any fines, as hotel is in a limited traffic zone. You may want to search for lower rate parking services nearby, I believe there are quite a few, however rates may be similar.

"Ask for a room facing the Square"
"The higher the room the better."
"Our rooms were very quiet & faced courtyard. The piazza is closed to vehicles so a city view room wouldn't be noisy at all."
"500 is a nice room facing sunset, otherwise ask for a room facing the square"
"amazing location"
