Beautiful and clean hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast was very good quality, even though the food selection was limited to the basics. The cappuccino was tasty! Only downside: It's quite a walk to the city and the bus is not very reliable. The upside: Due to the surrounding gardens it's very quiet compared to other places in Florence.

Good rooms, good location, away from the most crowded areas but still within an easy walking distance to "down town" Firenze. Bus line within 100-200 ms. Helpful staff. Yes, would happily go back to Hotel Villa Betania

We stayed for five nights in a clean, comfortable de-luxe room in adjacent villa, very large room with excellent en-suite including double shower with TWO rainfall showerheads! We ate breakfast in a beautiful courtyard. Staff very pleasant and extremely helpful, reserving us tickets at the Uffizi Gallery which meant we didn't have to queue. Also booked a taxi for us...

This hotel was a welcome respite from camping in Cinqueterre. It is situated at the top of a hill only 2km from Ponte Vecchio. It is in lovely gardens in a very pleasant neighbourhood. The room was spacious with a king sized bed. All clean and comfortable with efficient airconditioning. Mid range price wise - we booked through Booking.com and...

Villa Betania is located on the south side of the Arno, about a kilometer south of Porto Romano and two kilometers from the Ponte Vecchio. It's straight up a pretty good hill from the Porto Romano. You can walk to the old town, but it's a 30 minute trek along often very rough and sometimes very narrow sidewalks, and in...

Plus points: Friendly staff, nice grounds, comfortable rooms, character. Very good if you have a car and want easy access to it as you leave it in the drive in front of the hotel. Negative: need to bus / cab into city. No restaurants immediately next to hotel ( some 15 mins walk). Walking into city possible but long and...
