Very friendly staff speaking several languages. Ou room was rather large with a small bathroom (better than the other way around!). Beds were quite comfortable Hotel situation can hardly be any better next to the Duomo and several other "must see" places. Buffet breakfast was reasonable if not exceptionnal. All in all very good stay at reasonable price.

While this hotel seemed adequate, it had quite a lot of faults. Our room was on the top floor and had a view of the Duomo. HOWEVER, the windows were maybe 2'x2' and were five feet off the ground so the Duomo was literally the only thing you could see. I felt a little claustrophobic. While the rooms are in...

I have checked in this hotel with my friend. The room has three beds (1-2 beds formation), the hotel located near many attractions. You will save money on transportation and it is 20 mins walk from train station.

Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable. A small balcony overlooked a quiet courtyard. The breakfast was very generous and was sufficient for us to get through a busy day of sightseeing. But best of all was the staff. We had some misunderstanding with a third-party booking agent, but the hotel staff cleared up matters perfectly. Everyone on the staff...

This hotel was central to most of the sights in Florence. The room was ready and AC. Shower was a little small. But overall it was a great place to stay. Access was in a backstreet but had a lot of restaurants and shops handy.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
