We had a mini tour of Italy and this hotel ranked as the least favored with my visiting family. The room was larger than expected but it's bare minimum. "Stark" is what comes to mind. The bathroom, bed, and breakfast point to functionality not luxury...More
I am never one to write reviews. In fact, I just made a trip advisor account to post about this hotel.
First of all, it gets a one star because of the location and for the only nice concierge there-Andre. He suggested great local dinner...More
On first sight down a side alley it looks like a hidden gem That's where the fantasy ends. The room was like a prison cell the walls concrete the bed was a king size platform so hard I woke with pins and needles The noise...More
Basically everything was OK - great location, nice room, good breakfast. Until we found out luggage was thoroughly checked for valuable things - money was missing, but of course no one could prove anything :(
The rooms are large, reception is possible in different European languages, the near-bathroom is comfortable, the bedding is good (recent) and the breakfast before the visits is plentiful (buffet)

Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city
as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.

I will suggest you to pre book the taxi. It may be difficult to get one on the spot, considering you need to leave early morning. The front desk is open 24*7 and they also give packed breakfast if you let them know a day prior. The airport travel time will be around 30 to 40 minutes. Well, i did not face any drug issues and its quite safe as per my experience. You can even have the taxi come to the hotel. You can board from there just in case you are apprehensive to travel
