Busses not allow to come near the hotel... Get ready to walk 250 feet with your luggages. Bathroom very old, not renovated are barely functional. The drain of the bath was plugged... So at the end of the shower, there was 8 inches of water in the bath... This problem seems to append in most rooms (speaking with other clients)....

The hotel is not great inside. Old furniture, old bathrooms. However it is clean and warm and the staff is friendly. The location is definitely a plus as it is walkable distance from the dome and the main square. Althogh the quality is not the best, the price is in line wih the quality. Good bargain if you decide to...

When I arrived, I was thinking to myself, what have I let myself in for. The room is dirty, bed clothes old, no lift, no breakfast included unlike ad, single pane glass in the window. Only positive is the lady in reception is helpful and its in a good location. Must remember not to stay here again, even if it...

This place is well priced and in a good location but rough. I would stay here again but they could definitely clean the place up. Breakfast was simple. They helped us with parking for our car which was great. Abit of TLC and this place would be a real diamond

I have been several times to Florence: you can find much better value for this money. Stairs to steep, no carpeting, so a big noise whenever somebody dumps down his trolley. Room: ample. Windows and curtains, dirty. Bathroom very very tiny, to the extent that you have trouble sitting on the WC and fitting your knees to the wall in...

I feel awful for this review, but honestly, I can't give it more than 2 stars. The front desk staff were WONDERFULLY helpful and very nice. I couldn't ask for better. They all spoke several languages very well. Location was great, very central and a short walking distance to everything. The main problem I had was with the condition of...

The only positive thing I can say for this hotel is its location. Other than that, it's seriously over-priced and low in quality. We were 4 people divided into 2 separate double rooms, both of which didn't look anything like the pictures they have on their website. I've stayed in bare bones hotels plenty of times before, but this went...

Good service, good size of room, great location, you can walk to the sight seeing stop bus, or walk to The Piazza del Duomo. Staff is very friendly. Good relation with price. Keep in mind this is a hotel to visit with friends, family or solo, I would not recommend for couples.

Saying it has what you need for the night is the nicest thing i can say. The best part was that there was warm water in the shower that, by the way, shares its space with the toilet. So, use the toilet before the shower so you don't slide off of it! Our toilet rarely flushed. We were too afraid...

We chose this hotel (which is more like a hostel) for its closeness to the city centre. The Piazza del Duomo is maybe 500 metres from it. In writing this review I am in two minds what to write: on the one hand we had a nice time in Florence and did not experience any problems in the hotel. Since...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
