Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place to stay. Lovely owners, very clean and comfortable, large rooms, delicious breakfast, coffee machine at all times. We would definitely stay here again. It's a bit of a walk from main sights but definitely no downsides. There are also a few good places to eat nearby.

We recently stayed at the lovely Terra Artis Guesthouse and were impressed! The room was cute and had all that we required and the host, Nicola was exceptionally kind and helpful, always wanting to ensure we were taken care of. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance of Florence’s main attractions/train station etc.. breakfast was very yummy too!

This hotel was fantastic. Clean, well appointed, and beautifully designed. We stayed in the Dante room and loved it. Nicola was great to work with. He was super responsive to my emails leading up to our trip. The location was in a nice quiet area too.

Staying at Terra Artis was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Extremely nice suites, in a wonderful location. Patricia and Nicola made us feel at home, from our arrival to our departure. Every single detail was perfect! Could not imagine a better place to stay.

We couldn’t fault this lovely guest house as the owners appear to have thought of everything and taken such care over it. It sits in a traditional apartment block, full of character and accessed via grand wooden doors and marble steps. The high-ceilinged bedrooms are modern and comfortable - we opted for a very slightly larger room with a sofa, which we appreciated, but all look similarly high-standard. There is also a communal sitting area with tea and coffee-making facilities. Breakfast was ideal for us and included a selection of yoghurts, cake, fruit, ham and cheeses but also different breads and cooked eggs and drink choices. The location of the guest house was also excellent. I had worried (unnecessarily it turns out) that it might be a little far out of Florence centre but it is an easy walk to anywhere and has the advantage of sitting in a quieter area, with some of the best restaurants being just around the corner.

Terra Artis is a hidden gem in Florence. The owners Patricia and Nicola were so friendly and you could tell they put their heart into every detail, from the common spaces to the beautifully decorated bedrooms. We stayed in a suite with a charming sitting room, balcony and a spacious and elegant bathroom. After a full day of intense sightseeing it felt wonderful to come back to this little oasis of comfort. By the way, this was the best breakfast we had on this trip!

When we booked this place, it was for the modern atmosphere and quiet area of Florence it is located. We were not disappointed; checking in went smooth with the help of Nicola who has everything nicely under control. A very kind man with typical Italian humor. The room was very nice, a good bed, everything brand new. Nice bathroom. Because the bed was nice and large, the area around the bed was a bit narrow. So if you want a really spacious room I would recommend the larger options. We don’t spend a lot of time in our room so we didn’t mind. The airconditioning was also functioning well. Coffee and tea can be found in a small living room/library. Then the breakfast; don’t go looking around, this breakfast is just perfect and not expensive. Nicola also gave us a list of restaurants in the area that makes it useless to look any further; all very nice places far from the tourist traps. To finish; the name ‘Guest house’ is well thought of, we really felt guests and we can recommend it to everyone!

Very well decorated and spacious environment. We felt at home at Nicola and Patrícia's Guest House. The breakfast was very good, with fresh, home-made products. We had good support to discover the city following some of their tips.
