Very close to train station, about 10 min walk.. maybe 15. Was pretty easy to find. Alberto was a lovely host, provided great information, gave us a map and marks placed to go on it. Was great to offer suggestions. Free, wifi, and breakfast. Very private space, own bathroom

For the price and the status of being a B&B, the rooms are spacious, you get your own bathroom, and Alberto is extremely friendly and helpful. He provided a very nice breakfast conversation. It is approximately a 10 min walk from the train station and a 15 min walk to major sites. We highly recommend staying here!!

We stayed here for two nights and Alberto made us feel at home. He even provided us with a lot of tips on what to do and where to explore for our short stays in Florence. The room is huge and clean. Simple breakfast but it's pretty decent for us. Location wise, it's a short 10-15minutes walk from the train...

We stayed for 2 nights and we loved it! The room was big and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was very good! Mr. Alberto is the best host you can have! Very nice, helpful and very very professional! If you walk for 15 minutes you already are in the center of the city. If we come back to Florence, we...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
