The hotel occupies 2 floors of a building conveniently located to both the railway station and the Duomo. Reception is on the 3rd floor. The rooms present to a high standard. Housekeeping is up to the mark. Guests comfort is foremost in the minds of the staff. The continental breakfast is extensive and of good quality. I would only criticise...

Great Hotel in the heart of Florence - walk to everything. Louise and Laura were very friendly and loved sharing their knowledge of the Florence and beyond. Breakfast was included and was perfect - they even have the lovely Anna who makes great coffee for you each morning. We had two rooms - 3 teens, each room set up as...

The Hotel is close to the station and ideally situated near all the big attractions like the Duome etc. The room was lovely with a small balcony. Free wifi and 24hour reception. The room is nice and clean and just what you need for a short visit to Florence. Staff is also very helpful and friendly.

For the midrange price paid, this Hotel is PERFECT!! The rooms are modern (don't chose if you're wanting old world feel, this is tastefully modern), some with little balconies, the breakfast is good, even for non-cake eating foreigners, location is spot-on, a stone's throw from everything.... but best of all is the MARVELLOUS reception lady who is the most helpful...

The hotel was in a great location right by the Duomo. Laura at the reception was a great help and very friendly, she helped us book a rental car for our drive to Tuscany. The elevator got stuck with a couple in it, just use the convenient stairs and get some exercise lol!

We stayed here for four nights on our recent trip to Italy. We chose this hotel specifically for it's proximity to the train station, as we would be taking early morning trains on two mornings. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The location of the hotel is fantastic. It is just a minute or...

This is a really quaint hotel with a lift. The staff is terrific. The location is awesome right by the Duomo. You can't beat it. You can get everywhere you would want to go by foot on the north side of the Arno river in about 15 minutes

Dear Chris Thank you for sharing your thoughts regarding my hotel. I am glad you apprechiated our location. I think your quite right, our hotel wasn't a good choice for you and your wife. I can see through this site what type of place you both like. The first week of May was colder than you expected but as I...

Stayed at the Perseo for 5 nights beginning of May and the hotel was ideal. Within walking distance (with a suitcase) of the railway station and all the other attractions. Reserved Uffizi and Accademia prior to visit via email and once there the reception staff were so helpful, especially Louise. Breakfast was adequate and there were plenty of places to...

I stayed here a couple of nights before eastern weekend and it was a Delight. Very friendly staff, made me breakfast even after breakfast time and the room was clean and decorated cozily. The location is splendid. If you peek out the window, you can see the Duomo. Would visit again.

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
