Antonio is one of the best hosts you will come across! Very friendly and helpful. Place is nice and cozy and kept very clean. Bathroom is small but very clean and has hot water 24 hours. Aair conditioning is nice and works like a charm. Breakfast was simple, but good considering the price you pay. Will definitely stay again.

Simple but clean and tidy with a nice and pleasant owner. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of bread and jam served with juice, cappuccino, yoghurt. Quiet location on a side street a five minute walk from the train station

... meet Antonio Mainolfi and his hotel. His spirit is what makes you wanting to come back as soon as possible. He is lovely, caring, knows "everything" in Florence and is always willing to share his knowledge. I spent 3 nights in a simple room which was clean and provided everything needed for a sightseeing trip plus nice old furniture....

The first thing you need to keep in mind when coming here is this is a guesthouse not a hotel. I liked that it was very clean for its price (something you won't normally find in Italy). The owner Antonio is very hospitable and friendly and makes guests feel at home. The location was the best! Walking distance to the...

The Hotel is well located. It is walking distance to major attractions. It is also walking distance to the train station. The staff are helpful and nice. The breakfast is very basic, jam, bread and croissant. The rooms are very clean. We could hear people talking in other rooms or in the garden.

I stayed here for four nights. The room was sizeable with a big bed and all the amenities, and breakfast was served daily to set you up for a day of seeing Florence's attractions. The man who ran the hotel was very friendly and helpful too. Location wise it is pretty well based with the training station, central market (good...

I spent 3 nights at the Camelie this week (March '16) and it has a lot going for it; close to the train station, short walk into town, comfortable beds, nice breakfast and friendly owner / staff. I'd have given 5 stars but on arrival I was put into the wrong room (I wasn't complaining as it was huge with...

This is an older hotel located from the old city, about 15 minute walk away. This is a big plus in Florence, considering the crazy foot traffic in the center, especially on the weekend (doesn't stop until 5PM). The train station is about 10 minutes away, so is the bus station to Siena. The room is older, and the bathroom...

Had a very enjoyable stay here - clean facilities, great breakfast and fantastic service. Within walking distance to most of the major sites but I did find it a bit "removed" at night if you wanted to pop out quickly to a shop or restaurant. I would stay here again and recommend it highly.

We stayed in Florence for 3 nights, this hotel was in walking distance of everywhere, we were greeted by one of owners I believe who was just absolutely lovely, he showed us to our room and gave us a map of all the important things to visit, it was nice and quiet at night and the breakfast was quite substantial,...
