Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No need to expect fancy stuff here, buddy. This place isn't a high-end hotel, but it's clean, quiet, and decent. The owner and staff are super nice. The bathroom's a bit snug, but it gets the job done. Plus, they throw in two free water bottles and some tasty cookies. The location isn't smack in the center, but you've got some gourmet restaurants nearby. So, it's got its perks! 🏨😄

Response from Nicola Mascalchi, Marketing at Hotel Ferrucci

We are very happy to have had you as a guest at the Hotel Ferrucci. Your review describes us authentically and accurately. We are like that. An authentic small hotel not far from the historic centre and close to excellent pastry shops, restaurants and typical trattorias. I hope to see you back with us soon, Nicola - HFF

Gorgeous room with affreschi on the ceiling. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The bathroom is new, neat, and has a bidet. The shower was nice too. Some breakfast and bottled water were given as a present which was greatly appreciated. A bit distant from the centre (30min walk), but there are buses and rentable e-bikes/e-scooters.

Excellent point to stay nearby the old city monuments. An old romantic building with 3 m tall rooms, renovated inside. The only negative is the low sound insulation, as expected. (Photo of the old window shutters)

Have you ever walked into a hotel and been immediately put off by the first interaction with their front desk staff? Well, we had exactly the opposite experience when we asked for help at the Ferrucci front desk. Nicolette couldn't have been more helpful, accommodating and informative. Thank you. You made our short visit to you much more pleasant.

The hotel is by the river (our room had part-view to the river) and located near the Michelangelo square. The receptionists -both of them speaking english- were very helpful. Provide us with all kind of details about the surroundings. Even provide us with a map and info how to get to and from the centre by bus. The room was actually tiny and we had to climb the stairs since there was no elevator in the building. This was the negative part. Generally speaking, it is an old fashion hotel. Last but not least,We had an issue with the floss and the night shift reception came and fixed it immediately!

We stayed here for 2 nights. We were on the first floor, there is no lift so quite glad we didn’t have to get our luggage up to the top floor. The staff on reception and rally helpful and speak excellent English. Room was a good size, the bathroom was quite small but it was clean and functional. The walls are quite thin so you do hear a lot of other guests, especially at night when they are coming in. Breakfast was €6 pppn, it was a standard continental breakfast but the coffee wasn’t that nice. It’s about a 25 minute walk into the centre of Florence, we got a taxi to and from the hotel with our luggage, it cost around €17 each way so worth bearing in mind. My partner was bitten by mosquitoes whilst we were staying here, which didn’t happen anywhere else during our stay in Italy.

This is the most affordable option we found to visit Florence. Rooms are a bit tiny and aligned with internet pictures. Rooms are clean but not up to date. The staff is welcoming, friendly and professional. Always here to help. Not a fancy place but a good option given the Florence hotel market.

We stayed in the apartment which was very clean and spacious with a modern look. The apartment included a fridge and table to eat at, the bedroom included a large wardrobe and dressing table. The apartment front door was located on the outside of the building separated from the hotel itself, the only fault I can find is the windows did not feel secure enough for me, as the apartment is in the basement. Other than that the stay was amazing and really is close to the historic center, walking distance and Florence is the most beautiful place.
