It was our second time in Florence and we wanted to stay near the train station (because of our luggage) but away from all the hectic-ness, street vendors and tourists in the city center. Overall, the B&B was nice. The room was very spacious for two people. We felt comfortable and relaxed there. The owner was also nice, giving us...

My husband and I finally visited Florence last month and were so lucky to stay at the B&B Relais Tiffany. What a beautiful little place! Giulia the owner is a joy - we felt like we were old friends from the first moment we met her. Our room was lovely, the bed was comfy, the bathroom was large, and the...

The room was spacious, clean, beautifully designed and decorated. The little garden was a plus. Breakfast include rich selections. Bathroom was big and comfortable. It's a romantic choice for couples. The B&B is just 5 mins walk from the train station. I highly recommend this B&B.

Our last destination of our Italy trip is Florence. Upon arrival, Julia (the owner) was there waiting for us. She's extremely friendly and easy to talk to(Her English is really good). She also did lots of good recommendations which are not in our travel guide. For our living experience: The location is amazing, only a 7 mins walk from central...

We spent 3 days in Florence during our honeymoon and loved every moment of it. What made things so much easier was staying at the B&B Relais Tiffany. It is within a 5-8 minute walk from the train station - easy to find...and the owner and daughter (Stella) are absolutely brilliant! Our room was clean and spacious (we even had...

As a single woman traveling in Italy, I was looking for a convenient location close to the train station and attractions. This was the perfect spot. Before I arrived the owner e-mailed me to be sure she was there to meet me upon arrival. My room was lovely, well decorated and clean. I have shown others since coming home a...

We stayed here for two nights. Julia (the owner) was very helpful, even before we got there. We were very comfortable and it was very quiet despite being near the train station. There is a lovely eating/dining room (another B & B required us to eat in our room). The bathroom was great and it was inside the room (another...

We stayed at B&B Relais Tiffany for 3 days. It's quite a nice place, comfortably close to the central station. Rooms are pretty spacious, bathroom is lovely and there is a beautiful garden at the back (although mosquitoes can be a menace if you go during summers). The owner Giolia is really friendly, always game for a chat and helped...

5min walking from the train station and 10min walkng from the Duomo! The room was very clean and spacious. Bathroom was at the level of a 3/4 star hotel. There is a little garden in the back perfect for an enjoyable breakfast. Julia (the owner) was very kind and helpful with any questions we had. It is a steal for...

Staying in Santa Maria Novella

Neighbourhood Profile
Santa Maria Novella
Santa Maria Novella train station welcomes the majority of the people arriving in Florence, which might explain the hectic pace. Commuters and tourists come across the constant hustle and bustle of the station before exiting, taking a few steps and stopping amazed in Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. It is impossible not to admire the the square, housing one of the most charming basilicas in Florence. The area has plenty of local spots to taste Tuscan specialties, but don’t stop in the main streets alone; the narrower side streets always ensure satisfaction. The huge Parco Delle Cascine provides a solution to the need for a green area as well as a historic welcome in the form of a bronze statue of King Vittorio Emanuele II riding a horse.
