We spent 2 nights in this B&B. First of all, the location is perfect, next block to Duomo and you can reach everything worth to see in about 20 minutes walk. Nice cafe on the corner, opens early for breakfast and coffe. The room itself was good, but the bathroom, well, seriously need renovation. The ventillation system transfers voices from...

The location is amazing, down the road from the duomo. Easy to walk to all of the major tourist attractions. The b&b was easy enough to find. Basic rooms - lots of mosquitoes. Sheets and towels changed every 3-6days but you can pay a few extra euros to get it changed when you want. Aircon was pretty much non-functional. We...

I made a mistake in the booking of my hotel in my last night’s stay in Florence; so had to move out and go to this place late night, around 9 pm, in my last night in Florence. So my evaluation is not very reliable. The rooms was clean and air conditioning worked reasonably well, although not very modern. The...

We booked last minute so we were unbelievably happy to find a clean, spacious and central place. It is only a few steps away from the Duomo or Accedemia so you won't loose too much time if you have to get up ealry. Perfect for young couples!

We recently stayed at this place. We got there and try to communicate with the person that unlock the door for us to come in, that was not possible. I still don't know what language he spoke. I speak Italian, Spanish and English, he didn't respond no any of those. He kept looking at the paper work until I point...

I took my boyfriend here for his 30th Birthday as a surprise and it really did not disappoint. The location is perfect and can walk everywhere in Florence to see all the sights, which is what I wanted. The room was clean, the service was amazing and it made his birthday extra special. Max who booked us in was such...

We (two) have stayed here repeatedly almost annually for the last 5 yrs. LOCATION IS GREAT!!!!!, down sidestreet by Duomo. You open window and see happenings down relatively quiet pedestrian street. and you can hear the pleasant Duomo bell (never affected our sleep) knowing that you are in the heart of renaissance historic Florence. a 3-minutes walk takes you to...

Best thing about this is the location. You are steps away from the Duomo. However here's why I would not recommend it to my friends. Maybe even my enemies. - tiny dark rooms with lots of free Mosquitos - no lifts. Trouble if u have lots of luggage - reception only there in mornings. Would have been nice to know...

Although I cannot see it mentioned on their website, this place does NOT have a lift. A huge problem if you’re travelling with the elderly, children and/or heavy luggage. I only found this out the night before we were due to check in. There are 23 steps up to the first floor to the reception and a further 19 steps...

While all hotels / B&B are more or less near the Duomo, getting a view of the Duomo right when you step out of this B&B was very thrilling. The reception is very helpful , advising us of local restaurants to eat which turned out to be awesome. They helped us book a trip to Pisa too. Our only problem...

Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
