Great hostel until realized there was a bed bug infestation and now have to worry about laundry and carrying them to our next hostel and was not dealt with very professionally. Not worth the stay at all look for a different hostel.

The host and owner of the hostel is very friendly, very energetic and willing to help. she is also a traveler so we could tell us about our trips and she's a interior designer so hostel was nice and cosy. just the entrance was kind of creepy with old elevator. One of the best hostels I've stayed at. Stayed in a four person dorm for one night. Rooms and bathroom facilities are very clean, wifi works well, and atmosphere is excellent. Location is great and only 2 minutes to either the Duomo or Accademia Gallery. Nadia, the owner, brought us to dinner at ZaZa which I also highly recommend. The...

I stayed here and got eaten alive by bed bugs. This place is not worth risking your vacation over. I lost a whole day fighting with the disrespectful owner to get my money back for the night we left early due to the infestation and spent 20 euro doing a whole suitcase full of laundry.

I had a hard time staying hee because though the owner is very sweet and means well, she fusse over me too much and didn't give me much privacy in my room. I came back to the hostel to nap and the owner spoke loudly (like practically screaming) and even came into my room and closed the window I'd opened...

Nadia is very helpful with itinerary and restaurant recommendations, and she takes extra care to make sure you are comfortable. Good location, exactly what you need in a hostel. Next time I'm in Florence I will be back!

I'm traveling in the offseason so sometimes good hostel environments are hard to come by. However at David Inn, Nadia (the last who runs the hostel) is an absolute angel. She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable, just like family. I will definitely be back!

I spent 5 nights at David Inn and I'm glad I did. Nadia took her time helping me to plan my itinerary by letting me know where the bests sights are, how long to spend at them, and where the locals eat. She puts great effort into being available to help you find anything in Florence, and in helping you...

David Inn is one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in. It's located a minute walk from the Duomo and the Accademia. Aside from its great location, the hostel itself has a nice ambience and very charming interiors. Nadia and the staff made us feel very welcome. Nadia even gave us a small Halloween gift, which was very thoughtful. Would...

Close to public transport and easy access to a lot of the popular sights this hostel is a great place to stay. Nadia is warm and welcoming, supplying you with a map with all the local attractions highlighted for easy use and answering any questions she can about her beloved city. Staying in Duomo

Neighbourhood Profile
Duomo
Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
