Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In Firenze it is important to be located in the historical center. This hotel is well located, ten min by walk to the Piazza della Signoria. The room was clean. I spent only one night; the team I met was friendly. Considering the rates in Firenze one can consider this hotel as rather cheap; for the price do not of course expect luxury (for that choose rather the St. Regis or the Excelsior, 100 meters far, on the Piazza Ognissanti). For a short ant not expensive stay in Firenze this hotel is a good option.

Room was small and outdated. Tv was super small. The greeting when we got there was horrible, the lady at the front didn’t even greet us. When we checked in she started walking to the room and pointed to the room it was. We were on our own. At night there was noises down the hallway. Kinda spooky. Would not recommend.

This hotel was booked for us as part of a Groupon package trip to Rome, Florence and Venice. If you are booked at this hotel cancel immediately!!! Staff is terrible!!! Rooms (beds) are terrible. Very old bedding and mattresses. I’d like to say I’ve stayed in worse but that would be a lie. My sister and I checked in looked around and immediately checked out and purchased our own hotel in Florence.

This hotel is just three short blocks away from Santa Maria Novella train station. Also in walking distance to almost everything you want to see in Florence. It is a family run business Andrea and his wife are awesome. They will offer all kinds of tips and where to eat and what to see. It's proximity to train station makes it a great base while you travel to Pisa or Siena or pretty much any neighboring town.

Centrally located, a few minutes away from all sites. My room was big, with high ceilings and a private bathroom. Apart from the breakfast, everything was great. I'm not saying there was anything wrong with the breakfast, I'm just saying that when in Florence, you should grab a pasticeria on the move. Would definitely return.

This was booked at short notice so the room was expensive about 100 for one person for one night not including breakfast. When I checked in the person did not speak English and could not give me details about the breakfast. In the room I only got one very small towel the first night, the 2nd night the room service left another so i had 2. The shower is one of the smallest I have seen, i am 50kg and I just about fit in it, bending over was not possible. There is so shelf in the shower so you have nowhere to put your soap razor etc apart from the floor but the shower is too small to bend over to get it so it's a bit tricky. The worst thing though was that because my room was right next to reception I could literally hear everything. The receptionist listened to very loud TV all night. I asked them if they could turn it down but after an hour it was back up. I mean full volume motor sports so sleeping even with ear plugs was difficult. There were also several mossies in the room. You also have to leave your key with reception when you leave which I am never happy about. Plus sides was that the room it's self was very large with a small terrace and the location was good.

Fine plaxe to stay. We arrived in Florence late and the hotel is still open for check in the night. the man behind the xounter didnt speak English, but that was not a real problem. Airconditioning, great shower, okay bed and room at the inner garden so quiet. the room felt a bit old but couldnt really complain, especially when you stay there for one night and arrive late.

Well first impression was it does not seem so safe, but after learning neighborhood, the place was quite comfy. We traveled all firenze by walking and it was so easy to turn back even at 2 after midnight and just drunk girls. They gave us the room which has its own key and enterence it made things easier. Breakfast was awful tough. Maybe it is common in eu to just coffee and cirials*(dunno if i wrote correct) but we left place almost hungry. Reception was funny and helpful. I wish you, have a good trip and best time :)

We booked our stay through a third party (as others mentioned in their reviews) so there wasn't much of a choice for us. Overall I would say the hotel was good for the price. The location is awesome and the gentlemen at the front desk during the day had great recommendations for places to eat as well as directions. Breakfast was minimal but my wife and I always had a cup of coffee and some cereal before we headed out for the day.

There was no sound-proofing at all and the floors were all tile, so sound really carried. Unfortunately we had a very rude family next to us who was up until after 1am being *very* loud. You could hear them all the way down the hall to the reception area. The staff did nothing and it took another hotel guest knocking on their door to ask them to quiet down. I personally had to do it the second and third night! This isn't the fault of the hotel, but I do wish they'd of taken some initiative and asked the loud family to quiet down after 11pm. I didn't feel like I should have to do it. The room was nicely configured. We had a handicap room so it was much larger and had hooks on the wall and a bench to store stuff. The bathroom was big and the water pressure was great. We had a little verandah with doors that opened up which was really beautiful. The beds were rock solid firm...enough to bruise my hip from side sleeping. I don't believe the tile floors were washed at any point. The black on the bottom of my socks was the proof (fresh socks in the morning, soiled before it was time to leave). The breakfast was a joke. First, it was never on time. Second, if you came down even 45 minutes after it had started, the food was all gone and no one was manning it to replenish. There was very little offered in the first place and only 4 tables to sit at. We never managed to get to eat there. Breakfast was advertised as 8am - 10am. We went down at 8 and were told "10 more minutes" - it was much longer and we had a reservation at 8:30am so we had to leave. We tried at 8:45am and there was NO food left and no one around to replenish. We gave up.
